The proceeds of stake sale in Bharti could be used to fund the acquisition of rumoured ST Telemedia&rsquo s data centre business, without any adverse impact on its Value Realisation Dividends. 
BUY Singtel at an unchanged TP of SGD5.04, with a dividend yield of 4.2%
 
Singtel to unlock up to SGD1.5bn via stake sale in Bharti Airtel. Singtel has announced that, its subsidiary Pastel Ltd has launched another stake sale of 0.8% (51mn shares) at a floor price of INR2,030 each in the Indian mobile carrier that could fetch up to ~SGD1.5bn (~INR103.5bn), according to the terms of the offering. In May 2025, the Singtel sold 1.2% of its direct stake in Bharti Airtel for net proceeds of SGD1.93bn. Following the completion of this divestment, Singtel&rsquo s effective stake in Airtel could be reduced to an estimated 27.3%. The latest stake sale is part of Singtel&rsquo s ongoing strategy to achieve stake parity with the Mittal family, the promoters of Bharti Airtel, whose effective stake was an estimated 23.7% in 2024. This implies room for another 3.0% stake reduction in Airtel by Singtel. 
 
The proceeds could be used to partially fund the rumoured acquisition of STT GDC. Bharti Airtel currently trades at a 12-month forward EV/EBITDA multiple of 11.6x, with a consensus target price of INR2,285.82 vs the floor price of INR2,030, implying ~ 12.5% upside potential. The proceeds from this share sale into acquiring an additional stake in ST Telemedia Global Data Centres (STT GDC), although Singtel has not confirmed the acquisition yet. This would align with Singtel&rsquo s strategy to scale up its data centre and digital infrastructure portfolio.

 Alert Admin 		No, Singtel does not own 100percent of Bharti. Their stake is now only 27.5 percent

So that is worth roughly 50 billion.

About three dollars a Singtel share if they divested all of Bharti

If 0.8% is worth sgd1.5 billion, then 100% is worth 187.5billion. With 16.5 billion singtel shares, each lot alone is worth $11.35, not counting the other subsidiaries, Singapore operations and optus.
So $10 is a possibility!

 Alert Admin 		Did a check on STT GDC financial statement based on their bond issuance prospectus. There isnt any statements beyond 2023. but essentially they haven been making money. Losses in 2021, 22 and 23 if i recall. So Singtel better be able to synergies the hell out of it to justify this purchase and not using its shareholder to serve national service.
