Hi hannyhanny, Yes, there was a one time gain in 3Q14. The key is the strong revenue & earning growth in 4Q14 and mgt guidance of  better 2015, with a 5.5% div to be collected soon in May 15. Cheers

Hi Thinkprofit, I noticed the company booked a one-time net gain for liquidaition of subsidiary, excluding which the earnings per share is about 0.9 us cents. Nevertheless, looks like the company is having turnaround and with mgt guidance that 2015 could be better, it could be a stock to look out for. Thanks.

bryancbq, Memtech has been steadily growing over last 6 quarters after getting ride of the touch screen biz and focusing on automotive and telecom areas. The strong growth in 4 qtr, mgt guidance of even better 2015, the 0.6c div in May (like 5.5% further discount) and the retracement after recent price spike are strong reasons for accumulation. An easy target for BBs to play. Cheers! |

tomhanks, One of my investment strategies is to  look for company that shows a good  turnaround in biz  and wait for  a price  spike as it  usually signals  the BBs are coming in. Once price retraced, it presents  a good starting point for entry. Fluctuation at this stage is normal as BBs try to shake off traders and also weak shareholders in order to accumulate large amount shares at cheapest price possible. Ignore the noise and focus on the big picture. In  this way, you can build up a portfolio of multi-baggers. hope this helps?

bryancbq, It is not a s-chip but a singapore company founded by a group of Taiwanese and Singaporeans see below: [Extract fr AR: MEMTECH is a global components solution provider working with our partners in the business of Automotive Components, Industrial & Medical, Mobile Communications and Consumer Digital devices. We are a Singapore-based company with three manufacturing sites in P.R.China: Dongguan, Kunshan & Nantong. Besides a wide network of sales & engineering offices in PRC, we also have offices in Germany, Japan, Korea, U.S.A and Taiwan to support our global reach of products & services.] Its executive chairman, Chuang Wen Fu  is a Taiwanese but probably is a Singaporean now after working many years in  San Teh Ltd. He, together with his 2 sons (Chuang Tze Dey  and Chuang Tze Mon)  and several Memtech' s  executives  own  Keytech Investment Pte Ltd (registered in Singapore) that owns 43.69% in Memtech Intl. They owns another 11.57% direct shares. See his profile below: [Extract from AR: Mr Chuang Wen Fu is our Executive Chairman. He was appointed to the Board on 27 November 2003. With more than 25 years of experience in the keypad industry, Mr Chuang is the key driver of the Group&rsquo s strategies, and is responsible for the overall management and operations of our Group. His experience in the keypad industry stretches back to 1982 when he was overseeing San Teh Limited&rsquo s entire keypad operations. Under his leadership, San Teh grew to become one of the leading keypad manufacturers with more than 5,000 employees. He retired as Managing Director in 1999 but still serves on the Board of San Teh. Mr Chuang holds a diploma in Science (Survey engineering) from Tamkang College of Arts and Science (now known as Tamkang University),Taiwan.]

tomhanks, Check out Innovalues and you will see that the same situation in Aug 2013, afte a spike to 13c and drifted down to 11.5c. in Nov 13, it started to charge up.....I think the same scenarios will work out here. A multi-bagger worth to take a bite bit by bit moving forwrd.

Memtech Intl is presenting investors a superbly good buy opportunity given its steady turnaround. It would be the best tie to hold it with div of 0.6c (about 5.5% yield at current price) while waiting for discovery by the analysts to initiate covering, which I believe will happen given its recent price spike and volume expansion. It is currently trading at undemanding PE3.5 with a strong cash of S$42m about 6c per share. This   enables Memtech to grow strongly in next few years and give out div over next many years, while protecting it from any hike in interest. Memtech has shown a strong growth in 4Q which has achieved a revenue of S$56m (a strong 22% growth qoq) with an earning of S$3.4m. Management also provided a positive forecast in her 4Q report for 2015: In FY 2014 the Group&rsquo s sales increased by 18% and the Group achieved a turnaround in net profit as compared to FY 2013. The improved performance was the result of the Group&rsquo s efforts in diversifying into the automotive industry and other business segments also contributed to the Group&rsquo s profitability. In FY 2015, the Group will continue to focus on building its automotive segment to increase the product portfolio. At the same time, the Group will continue to look for new business opportunities. Although the growth rate in China has moderated in FY 2014, the Group will continue to face increased labour costs and labour shortage in FY 2015. Barring unforeseen circumstances, the Group expects to improve its performance in FY 2015.   All the three biz segments (automotive, telecom and consumer electronic) are showing strong growth. This is not surprising given its strong customer base. For examples its automotive customers include renowned players such as VW, General Motor, Tesla, Denso, Kostal, Hella, Magna and Lear while its telecom/CE customers are players such as Huawei, Lenovo, Samsung, Netgear, Celestica, etc. Memtech seems to have a bright future at super low price. And, we are about to collect a div at 0.6c in May 15. Let&rsquo s buy bit by bit for it alongside the BBs. A scenario like that of Innovalue that ran up from 10c to 70c may not be very far down the road. Good luck! |
