Master, My cheque being bouce back said the cheque amount dun even cover the bank charges...my cheque amount USD100. Why? Is there bank charges so much as such USD100? Can any master advise? thank you. | ||||

Genting hk share prices has fallen more then 10 years since holding at 0.53 usd per lot , and there were no dividend then,and prices were drifting down hill, although we are hearing sales of ncl shares profit are by the billions, fortunately only in recent years, it has start giving back dividends to the shareholders of genting hk, hopefully the reward will be coming consistently. | ||||

The charges are likely due to clearing fees. In general, if an USD cheque drawn on another Singapore bank, there won' t be any charges. If the cheque is drawn on a bank outside Singapore, when you deposit the cheque into your bank account held with a Singapore bank, it will have to clear it with involvement of its intermediary/correspondence bank. The charges are levied by the intermediary bank and passed on to you. i.e. The cheque issued by Genting HK is drawn from an overseas bank. |

I deposited my cheque last week untill now still not credit to my account. mine is OCBC bank. as last time no charges incur on cheque deposit, how come now need to charged? weird... | ||||

DBS. I called the bank and they told me to wait about 21 days for it to clear. not sure how much are the charges. I have a US dollar denominated account. was hoping it would be free in that case. |

it will takes 3-4 weeks to clear the cheque, which bank are you using for the cheque clearance? cost to clear the cheque about USD30-40.

I received a cheque via snail mail to my house. The dividend was in US dollars. I deposited the cheque into my Singapore bank account (I have an account with DBS denominated in US dollars) Its been 2 business days so far. Not yet cleared. Will report back here when it clears. |

yes , most of the dealer representatives of the stock brokers are unaware of bonus , dividend ,rights or any info of custodian shares entitlement traded on thier exchanges , as the stock broking company has never imput those information that they are suppose to reflect in thier systems . as such we had to refer to foreign broking houses to get those news and entitlements.

Hv call up my broker in cimb, yes the dividend was transfered to my account but is not reflected in my account summary as it is not a trade.CIMB will sent me a cheque in 2 to 3 days.

Do you mean the dividend will be deposited into the account we were using before the delisting or do you mean we have to specify an account AFTER the delisting process? sorry, just need clarification.
