If we stick together, and decide we won' t jump and sell. This is a perfect storm to turn this into a Singapore version of Gamestop. As long as Shorts need to be covered, new buyers want to come in and no willing sellers, sky could be the limit. TH is not going to be selling anytime, so we know a large portion of stocks in circulation are already off limits.

Absolutely correct, it's a blessing to clinch contract now with clauses that adjust for rising material and wage cost in this inflationary environment. Firms are more willing to accept given the high revenue they earned from higher oil prices and hence higher profitability than before. Otherwise, they can't find contractors. Which also means those who managed to clinch contracts 3 years ago are likely to make losses. In this case, no contract is better than having contracts

Sembcorp Marine - A decent- sized order win to kick off the turnaround story.
(SMM SP/BUY/S$0.094/Target: S$0.11)
SMM announced that it had won a contract for a WTIV scheduled for delivery in early- 25. We estimate that this contract win is worth approximately S$600m and could be as large as S$800m depending on the specifications. Note that this is SMM& rsquo s first contract win since its announcement of modification work for a Floating Production Storage and Offloading vessel in Brazil in Jun 21. Maintain BUY. Target price: S$0.11...

with oil price heading towards $150 and stay elevated for extended period of time, more rigs are needed. coupled with capital spending for renewables, scm prospects are promising. scm shareholders are in the driving seat to reject any merger terms which are not favourable. imho keppel is more desperate to hive off its shipbuilding leg as part of their asset light strategy. i am looking at $0.50 in 3 years time

Further, SCM used key words like " bigger turbines" and " next generation" , $700-800mil might turn out to be conservative, depending on how " next generation" the vessel is.
