A stock that is attacked by global shortist just last year and had no choice but to make a right issues to raise more cash to cover the debt. Now get privitised by Temasek at high price comparable to level seen at 2010, now this is funny government protecting own investment by simply coming with more money to accumulate more share, shielding it from shortist. Lot of shortist get roasted again this time by the government lol. I not surprised if temasek continue to buy out rest of company portfolio it owned like SIA, NOL, Keppel corp, starhub etc. Currently it is cheap to finance those purchase due to very low interest rate and better global demand picture.

Lost   almost 1 BILLION in 2-3 years. BUT still standing amazing. Never go bankrupt. Maybe due to strong big pocket support. NO reason to buy up and hld. x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	don be surprised if there is merger deal for container liners this year as basically most of the players in market are not going to be priced out of market and surrender their market share. Only way those bigger liners can expand their market share and exposure is to swallow up smaller competitor and further reduce their cost of operation by getting rid of redundant division. Since share price of global liners are all at bottom, time for the big players to pick the better acquisition target with lower cost, once in a lifetime deal lol.

x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	Someone just told me he is very confident  NOL will revisit at least 94 cts-95 cts again in this few weeks..Actually he said 89 cts to 91 cts got good chance too. So this coming May result for NOL, the general expectation is for the May result is NOL still expected to report loss or can return to black?? I noticed from past stocks during the final leg of a stock's downside before it finally turn to rosy outlook and start their uptrend, the stock always over-shoot on the downside before it start it's strong uptrend. Example a few months ago Noble caught some by surprise when it dropped to 78.5 cts then start it's strong uptrend and Yanlord dropped till 69 cts in 2011 then start it's strong uptrend. Should not under-estimate how much a stock can over-shoot on the downside before it finally start it's strong uptrend.

QE3 distorted the economy cycle in the last 5 years making some unrealistic economy forcast, now tapering occurs and world economy is starting to return normal. Good luck to those who buy property/REIT during this 5 years, sooner or later the price going to correct and big losses expected. What go up must go down then cycle repeat, what QE did is to make certain assets go up for no reason other than to park their money till the economy slowdown is over so causing bubbles to build up. March economy data more important now especially on the US economy, if it rebound strongly from bad weather then later u gona see china PMI start to climb too. Everything is linked and what is important is the source of global demand that is developed countries economy recovery. Overcapacity in container shipping can be easily covered by strong global demand, might even caused a reverse of fortune from overcapacity to under capacity. For now just wait patiently for ship 1Q result and developed countries economy recovery.

But they fail to understand that the trade deficit was because much higher import compare to export. Hence ever since tapering started shipment to China rise. But people is worried initially china's financial status  because everyone saw a huge sudden plunge. But seeing how the counter rise today I sincerely doubt so.  So now china increase import, base on geographical location they almost 100% need to pass through Singapore. What better shipping company can cover both logistic and shipping than NOL? 100% my own assumption, pls dyodd.
