 Alert Admin 		Since not many have the shares, a fair bit of the sellers are just shortists ? That would be serious. So the share should hold above 1.60 I guess and head higher.

Hot stock: Best World surges 30% on morning of trading resumption

As at 10.02 am on Monday, Best World' s shares are up S$0.41 or 30.1 per cent at S$1.77. 


SHARES of  Best World International : CGN +22.06%  saw incremental gains early on its first day of trading, after a 3.5-year-long suspension due to regulatory concerns over the company&rsquo s business model in China.     

As at 9.52 am on Monday (Nov 14), the beauty products distributor&rsquo s share price rose S$0.28 or 20.1 per cent to reach S$1.64 amid heavy trading. Some 5.7 million securities had changed hands by 10.02am, pushing the counter further up S$0.41 or 30.1 per cent to S$1.77. 

No married deals were recorded in early trade, according to ShareInvestor data.
 


Best World last ended at S$1.36 before it was suspended on May 9, 2019. 

After submitting several trading resumption proposals to SGX over the years, it received approval from the frontline market regulator in October 2022 to resume trading. Conditions to resume trading include the requirement for Best World to undergo independent review, which the company completed in 2020.

While the group&rsquo s revenue and net profit for the nine months ended Sep 30, 2022 were lower year-on-year, they remain above FY2018 levels.
