x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	I' d suggest that PTC dictate another round of fare reduction, in addition to the one last December, so Temasek can save billions taking SMRT private. If PTC can reduce the fare enough, despite the agreed formulae linked to inflation allowing for a hike, then maybe perhaps Temasek can even wait for SMRT to naturally go bankrupt, and bid $1 for the assets that would be under judicial management.  Imagine the money saved from not having to pay off SMRT shareholders, and especially the bondholders. sgng123      ( Date: 19-Jul-2016 14:55) Posted: Stock might go down cos it no longer enjoy monopoly, big funds would cash out to seek better stock with secured earning into future. x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	New Rail Financing Framework (NRFF) -  Sale of the Rail Operating Assets to LTA SMRT heavy capital expenditure - Rail operating assets will be removed and transferred to LTA. With the assets sale, the equivalent NBV cash will be returned to shareholders thru' a capital reduction. This will leave SMRT as an asset-light train operator, including bus, taxi and other commercial operations. Trading halt closing price $1.545 (15jul2016)
