CNMC reports record earnings of US$15.8 mil for 1HFY2025
CNMC Goldmine Holdings has reported record earnings of US$15.8 million for its 1HFY2025, up 256.1% y-o-y. Revenue in the same period ended June was up 78% to US$52.8 million, driven by both higher production and higher selling prices of the yellow metal.
 
For context, earnings for the whole of FY2024 came in at just US$9.8 million and the company' s previous record was US$12.2 million back in 2014.
 
CNMC in 1HFY2025 produced 11,811 ounces of gold, up 26% y-o-y, and its average selling price was US$3,197 per oz, up 41.1% y-o-y.
 
The company plans to pay a dividend of 1.5 Singapore cents per share, equivalent to a payout ratio of nearly 29%. For 1HFY2024, it paid just 0.4 cent.
 
CNMC CEO Chris Lim says the 1HFY2025 results " far exceeded" expectations.
 
" We intend to build on this momentum and are going all out to produce and sell even more precious and base metals,&rdquo he adds.

 Alert Admin 		That' s true. But for mining companies, the reserves reading is more important than p/e since the resource is finite and limited to their area.

 Alert Admin 		Agreed that dvd may be given in the next announcement. Yield will be more than 5% at current price. Expect gold price to rise further. So I will hold tight, tight & add more if price weakens.

I remembered the new CIL plant cost them 9M MYR in 1H2025. So it's all paid for with so much net profits. Only thing is since now they are sitting on a pile of cash, what are they planning to do with it? Buy new companies... expand production... since they are not giving a lot more dividends

It is distributing a dividend of 1.5 Singapore cents a share, comprising a special payout of 1.1 cents and an interim dividend of 0.4 cent. This translates into a payout ratio of nearly 29% of its 1H2025 earnings.   

Which means it still has 71% of its 1H earnings, ie USD11mil
It can still give another special for 2H if sales is maintained. 
Also, it needs money to "   the Company is building another underground mining facility at Sokor to extract more higher-grade gold ores for processing at the CIL plant. In the course of construction, we have encountered some water accumulation issues at the supporting shaft of the underground mining project, which may impact the project timeline. "
