We expect the HoldCo discount to narrow to 10-15% due to a sustained multi-year improvement in the core business from FY22F onwards. x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	Sale of Optus towers take away all fears that Singtel cannot pay good dividend for the next 1 year.  They have sufficient cash to roll out 5G, digital bank.  From the look of it, Sg wants to be the first in the region to have reopened borders. More VTL will surely open up in Nov & Dec.  Expect travel data revenue boost and more earning from NCS.  FOMO is the upcoming word for Singtel

x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	if you talk about basic accounting, you should also talk about cashflow too 0.5b loan repayment is not profit yes no doubt (but any interest payment on this loan will be) however, in many businesses, sales (which is linked to profit) is usually done with credit terms in other words, even if company is very profitable on paper, they can go bankrupt easily without cash  especially in the event where customer pays late and company' s payables (such as rent and salary) cannot be delayed not saying that SingTel will go bankrupt without this 0.5b or that loan repayment is to be distributed as divs what it means is that with better cashflow, this money could be used for other investment or if there are profits that can be paid as divs, SingTel can use this money to pay the divs first while waiting for customers to pay them SingTel can also choose to do capital distribution back to SH with the loan payment received if a company has cash, they can do so many things with it without cash, even if company is very profitable, they are also not able to give out any divs   investshare      ( Date: 02-Oct-2021 13:13) Posted: Basic accounting : loan payment is not profit, cannot distribute as dividend. Will Airtel, 5G and NCS bring in more profits and cash flow over next few years? Depends on execution but I would say more likely than not. This is the risk that we bear as equity investors. So Nothing is guaranteed.

AustralianSuper said in a news release the network of more than 2,300 national tower and rooftop sites "will provide long-term contracted revenues," building on the fund's strong interest in investing in long-term national infrastructure assets.
