Smart move SIA!!! One look we already knew who is the main subscriber of its convertible bonds. This way SIA can continually raise convertible bonds to fuel its finance. As we know convertible bonds mature usually after 10 years with good interest. So, this gives investors more confidence in buying SIA shares bcos convertible bonds movement is correlated to its mother share price. I expect tomorrow SIA price will rise | ||||

Why are we shareholders bearing share price dilution and suffering share price losses, so that Captains, Pilots and Air Stewardesses can stay at home to play computer games and going to the gym and shopping???? They should slash more staff, before raising more money, or this should be done at the same time with more significant and deeper pay cuts. This is really sickening! | ||||

Singapore Airlines proposes convertible bond issue with indicative size of S$850m THU, NOV 12, 2020 - 6:41 PM SINGAPORE Airlines (SIA) is proposing to issue up to S$850 million in the principal amount of bonds, convertible into new ordinary shares in the company' s capital, it announced on Thursday night after market close. The convertible bonds are proposed to be placed with institutional investors and other investors. HSBC has been appointed as the sole book runner and lead manager for the issue. The S$850 million figure is an indicative size. The terms of the bonds, including the aggregate in principal amount to be issued, will be confirmed upon the pricing of the issue, after HSBC completes a book-building exercise. Pricing was expected to come on or around Thursday, with SIA to make an announcement of the definitive terms afterwards. SIA will apply to the SGX to list the convertible bonds and new shares. The issue of the bonds is conditional upon in-principle approval for their listing. The closing date of the issue is expected to be on or about Dec 3. SIA expects to use the proceeds to fund operating cash flow, debt service and capital expenditure. I can think of one reason why the boss by his shares back. He is confident of the coming report and thinks there is good dividend. In order to collect more dividends himself, he split the shares ( or 1 +1 bonus). and buy back his shares. | ||||

SINGAPORE - Singapore could have a Covid-19 vaccine by early next year. The first shipments of the vaccine co-developed by Singapore researchers are expected in the first quarter. Arcturus Therapeutics, the American pharmaceutical company working with Duke-NUS scientists on the vaccine, said this on Monday (Nov 9), as it announced positive preliminary results from the early-stage clinical trials ongoing in Singapore.

one of my working trip to phnom penh, cambodia during the height of covid, flights between china to phnom penh many chinese wearing space-suits. Besides the usual swap test and quarantine rules, 2k deposit is require to enter Cambodia unless company sponsored. Flights still full.
