n Substantial share holder supposed they hold less than Ah Kong still cannot veto it....I have seen many cases in AGM...The most can get 35% against only...the resoluction still passed....if you don' t believe you can try...

it is not the retail shareholders votes that matter, but those shares held by fund manager and instituition. The biz model of SMRT totally change after LTA buyout, lose its monopoly. Many funds would want to exit as the reason they invested in SMRT no longer valid.

Is it really true that the business itself is unsustainable? Or under this mediocre management makes it unsustainable? Look at HK MTR?

If TH offer price is on the cheap due to this &ldquo losing deal&rdquo or If TH buy back offer no go, either ways will impact to SMRT share price which will be a very bad publicity to S&rsquo pore Inc reputation. Talk about attracting foreign investors?  Even Bloomberg is drawing comparison between SMRT and HK MTR share price.  Good publicity?

Even if we compared on a local context, just look at SBS Transit, the twin competitor' s share price and how much they are worth now? 
 
All these speculation and negative analysts' reviews are tactics to make SHs fearful and obliged to sell off their shares on the cheap? 
 
Anyway, let' s see what' s the real deal is.
