*Oil prices head for 10% weekly jump on outages* PUBLISHED FRI, OCT 9 202012:54 AM Oil prices rose on Friday and were on track for their biggest weekly gains since early June on the back of supply cuts caused by a storm in the Gulf of Mexico and a strike of offshore workers in Norway. Brent crude gained 9 cents to trade at $43.43, while West Texas Intermediate crude advanced 8 cents to $41.27 per barrel. Both contracts are on track for weekly gains of about 10% this week, the first rise in three weeks.k |

Dude! End of October may have some sparks.
Now it's still cheap but buy must hold. If no sparks then blame me? I expect Rex to make money but I'm wary of their business management. Hope they don't report any negative full year result next year. 200++ this year is a dream. I don't create negativity. The price says it all. Ask why this counter cannot go up? Rex made a loss of over 20 million in first half out of the blue and cash is greatly reduced. Have Rex found any new oil? How much profit can Rex make out of Oman oil? What is Rex spending the profits on? Expenses expected to be high? Who is selling non-stop from 190++ to hit bottom 120++? High selling queues come in when there is some buying but quickly frizzles out. Some ppl claimed it's nonsense but the price is a good indicator. You cannot ignore facts. Trade with DYODD

Frankly, his daily dose of negative and cautionary style of responding to most people in this forum has somehow discouraged me considerably from posting anything here for a long time. It is absolutely depressing when there is so much negativity and pessimism to one' s hope that the stock will rise up eventually.

*Oil jumps on supply cuts in US Gulf, wariness about North Sea, Opec*Oil settled above US$43 a barrel on Thursday on support from output shutdowns ahead of a storm in the US Gulf of Mexico and the possibility of supply cuts from Saudi Arabia and Norway. Markets rose sharply at noon on a Dow Jones report that Saudi Arabia is considering reversing course over Opec' s planned production increase early next year. Brent crude settled up US$1.35, or 3.2 per cent to US$43.34, after falling 1.6 per cent on Wednesday. US West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude added US$1.24 cents, or 3.1 per cent, to US$41.19 after falling 1.8 per cent on Wednesday. Oil also gained support from the prospect of more production outages in the North Sea because of a workers' strike. Oil firms and labour officials said they will meet with a state-appointed mediator on Friday in an attempt both sides hope will bring an end to a strike that threatens to cut Norway' s oil and gas output by some 25 per cent. The Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries has been challenged by rising output in Libya, an Opec member exempted from cutting output, as well as an increase in coronavirus cases in many areas of the world. " If true, the Saudis' decision rewards the cheaters in Opec while acknowledging the demand challenges that are still here," said Phil Flynn, analyst at Price Futures Group in Chicago. " This potential extension of the cuts is definitely a positive for the markets and maybe provides the seasonal bottom that is happening anyway," he said. The market has also drawn support from Hurricane Delta, which is forecast to intensify into a powerful, Category 3 storm in the Gulf Coast. Nearly 1.5 million barrels of daily output was halted. " Hurricane Delta is a crude oil supply event, and with all of this Gulf of Mexico production offline, we will probably lose more than 5 million barrels of crude oil due to the storm," said Andrew Lipow, President of Lipow Oil Associates in Houston, Texas. one week ago - SINGAPORE, 29 September 2020 &ndash Rex International Holding Limited (&ldquo Rex International Holding&rdquo , &ldquo Rex&rdquo or the &ldquo Company&rdquo , and together with its subsidiaries, the &ldquo Group&rdquo ), a technology-driven oil company, is pleased to announce that it has appointed Nordic independent investment bank ABG Sundal Collier ASA (&ldquo ABGSC&rdquo ) as financial adviser and intermediary to review non-dilutive financing options for Rex&rsquo s 86.37 per cent subsidiary Masirah Oil Ltd (&ldquo Masirah Oil&rdquo ). ABGSC will advise, among others, on the structure, timing and organisation of a possible bond financing. Masirah Oil is developing the Yumna field, located in licence Block 50 Oman, in which it has a 100 per cent interest. Mr Dan Broströ m, Executive Chairman of Rex International Holding, said, &ldquo The Group has always been prudent with its use of equity and aspire for its subsidiaries to be financially independent. The bond financing, if successful, will be a win-win for the Group and Masirah Oil, as it is a non-dilutive financing option that leverages on the strength of the Yumna field development.
