The only connection is they have same Ah gong, TH holding close to 50% each. By now, most of the SCI shareholders would have probably sold their SCM shares if they are not keeping for mid to long term while the rest will hold v long till TH made their next move to see better rewards. I believe SCM will be revived v soon with new projects wins announcement and trading at 46% of NAV is deeply below value. Cataylsts will be projects announcements, TH plan for SCM including privatisation, buying Keppel OM biz etc..  Patience is key. x 0   x 1  Alert Admin	If I used to hold SCI shares, and I was not comfortable with SCI being a holding company of SMM because of the latter' s loss-making, and then the two companies are demerged, I would seriously consider buying SCI with money raised from the sales of distributed SMM shares. That would make complete business sense because I would now own more SCI shares in a company that is now free from loss-making SMM without any additional capital outlay!
