So travel bubble to Hong Kong i would say has to halt for quite some time now SIA should focus on Taiwan travel bubble |

Travel bubble flights between Singapore, Hong Kong postponed PUBLISHED 7 MIN AGO HONG KONG - Travel bubble flights under the Singapore-Hong Kong arrangement has been " postponed" , Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development Edward Yau said on Saturday (Nov 21), adding that the two governments will announce early December as to when the flights start. Flights were originally scheduled to start from Sunday, but has been suspended as the pandemic in Hong Kong escalates. Hong Kong Adds 45 Virus Cases, Highest in 3 Months, HK01 Reports November 21, 2020, 12:55 PM GMT+8 Hong Kong added 45 new coronavirus cases Saturday, the highest daily toll in three months, news site HKO1 reported, after the city imposed new social restrictions as it braced for an expected new wave. Hong Kong reported 26 new infections Friday, 21 of which were locally transmitted, with nine from an untraceable source. The government has also detected over 40 preliminary cases awaiting confirmation, a sign that Friday&rsquo s jump is not an anomaly. The surge comes as other parts of Asia, including Japan and South Korea, see alarming flareups as colder weather sets in. &ldquo Hong Kong&rsquo s epidemic has shown rapid deterioration and experts have said the fourth wave is inevitable,&rdquo Secretary for Food and Health Sophia Chan said in a briefing Friday. &ldquo We have done a series of measures to strengthen control, but we still see the situation turning bad.&rdquo The city&rsquo s government suspended classes for primary school levels 1 to 3 from Nov. 23 for two weeks, after shutting kindergartens and nurseries a week ago due to outbreaks of upper respiratory tract infection, and the risks of coronavirus resurgence. No students or school staff have tested positive for Covid-19 yet, said officials. On Saturday, the government also announced new social-distancing measures that would ban live performances in catered premises such as clubs, pubs and nightclubs, and shut all party rooms. The rules take effect at midnight on Nov. 22. The latest infections coincide with Sunday&rsquo s planned launch of Hong Kong&rsquo s high-profile air-travel bubble with Singapore, the world&rsquo s first quarantine-free travel arrangement open to all residents. The bubble will proceed as planned, but passengers from Hong Kong must now take a Covid-19 test on arrival in Singapore, the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore said in a statement Saturday. &ldquo The additional requirement is a precautionary measure given the rise of Covid-19 cases in Hong Kong over the past few days,&rdquo the airport authority said. &ldquo More cases are expected in Hong Kong over the next few days due to the emergence of new clusters. Singapore Transport Minister Ong Ye Kung warned on Saturday (Nov 21) that there is a "high chance" of the air travel bubble between Singapore and Hong Kong being suspended if the COVID-19 situation in Hong Kong continues on its current trajectory.
So tomorrow, the air travel bubble will be launched. But there's a high chance if Hong Kong continues to have tens of cases with a fair number of unlinked cases, it may be suspended. I think there's a high chance it may be suspended based on what we have agreed on," said Mr Ong.

SATS now trading at $4.17 and SIA at $4.09 i predict SIA will surpass SATS share price in Dec 2020 This is really loss face. Where mother shares SIA is lower than its subsidiary SATS I expect more Investors will be more favourable in SIA rather than SATS |
