Then CMA offer would make lot of sense actually, in fact they might be over paying lol. CMA and Temasek had to move fast on this merger before any surprise pop and spoilt the party.

Once this is given, the process has to go on to its conclusion. Nobody can come in now even with a bigger bid.  From whom  will they get the shares? TH already committed its shares to CMA. The way I read it is, once the anti-trust is approved, TH surrenders its shares to CMA and the offer becomes unconditional. CMA will have to buy the remaining 33% shares from us at 1.30. FD is about 1.5% for 6 months now but principle amount is guaranteed. Of course epends on each individual appetite, for me  i will just buy using my extra cash and hold for 6 months. China is also no more cheap in the past.  Although this is no showing any slow down in import and export but definitely the growth has been suppressed to single digit growth which compared the double digit growth in shipping capacity, this is going to be a nightmare and this night mare just continue and continue. Market need to be consolidated and try to remove the competition, otherwise, situation will just get worst and worst.

When oil price was high, people said low streaming and remove the over capacity, now i heard, slowly turn to normal streaming which cause shorter time for the trip and cause even more capacity, then another 20% new order will add in. Will the market better after 6 month? Really doubt so, within this 6 month, there is a risk nol and cma making huge loss for 2 quarters and jeopardise the offer and loans from various bank. This 6% gain to 1.30, does price in the risk. I believe some brokers are instructed to accummulate at this price by hedging 6% is the cost for the hedge, of course when date approach price will slowly up to 1.30. So, when they are protected with the hedge, what those retailers are protected, sometimes easy money look easy to earn but still content the risk. So 6% for uncertainty. Bear in mind, if what if happen, nol will be back to 80-90, so it is 30% loss. 95% to earn the 6%, 5% to lose the 30%. If the deal really collapse, when news out it is instant kill at pre open market
