Like what the Bear mentioned, this will have to break $4.00 to around $3.80 plus, consolidate, than rally like HKL from $3.20 or YZJF from $0.33. Both afore counters mentioned has exposure to China, but CDL always have the threat of ABSD hanging on it though its portfolio is well diversified. For those worried about debt, do look at how leverage our local big shots are as well. | ||||

Everyday such low volume.  If there is any one stock that need to be taken private next, this one should be considered. More need to be done to boost activity.  Else probably seeing more shorts than long, I guess. |

CDL divests assets worth more than $600 million in 2024
 
City Developments has announced it has divested assets worth more than $600 million last year as part of its capital recycling moves, with several other more in the pipeline.
 
This total fell short of the company' s $1 billion target indicated in early 2024, before the volume of deals across most markets and asset classes withered off.
 
Completed divestments include the Ransome&rsquo s Wharf site in London, the freehold 8-storey industrial building Cideco Industrial Complex in Singapore, as well as various strata units at Citilink Warehouse Complex, Cititech Industrial Building, Fortune Centre and Sunshine Plaza in Singapore. 
 
The divestment of the retail and office components of Hong Leong City Center (HLCC), a mixed-use development in Suzhou, is under contract and slated for completion this quarter.
 
&ldquo The asset divestments reflect our focus on accelerating our capital recycling initiatives. While market conditions have made divestments challenging, we are glad to have achieved good momentum, and we will continue to push forward with our divestment plans," says group CEO Sherman Kwek.
 
" We aim to optimise our capital management while holistically calibrating our portfolio to ensure alignment with our strategic objectives and to maximise shareholder value," he adds.

what i worry is no action.  since the target is more then 50% and 600m is not a small amount. look at the uk transaction is a good percentage gain.    just need to continue recycle at good price can already.  the shorts will run road soon

never hit target u say good no anyhow sell  If hit target u will say good, managed to hit target of 1b Head u win tail i lose this type is horse back cannon I only know if during work review u say u will hit a certain target and in the end, never hit, ur boss will give u lousy or even fail grade.. simple as that. u dun expect ur boss to tell u " still good, u never hit target as u promised as it shows u are very meticulous and take a ur time to finish the job so spend more time completing that why never hit target"

$600m recycled. although did not meet the 1b aim is still good as it shows momentum of recycling.  no any how sell to achieve target is better value for share holders. hope to see more recycling to realise the value of asset bought long time ago, so that share price can move nearer to nta. | ||||
