Some things I want to share: Soh Weng Kheong, the Deputy CEO, resigned very recently. He draws huge salary, second to CEO, and was in charge of all China biz. They are quick to let him good, and there is a saving in salary and benefits. Good! Shanghai & Taicang were sold last year, recently, they closed Dongguang (dormant) and sold Suzhou. Hence, they should have exited China market. Please read the reason why they sold Suzhou. Shares are now 72% in public, 28% with controlling shareholder & family. Expect volatility, as the shares (28%) were placed out at 5 cents. Don' t believe that price will zoom to 8 cents or 10 cents imemdiately as the new business has not been bought yet. There will be some intense trading, see saw up and down. Only $10 million have been used to buy the corporate travel company. With the selling of Suzhou $25 million ( plus the placement funds ($30 plus million), they have a cash hoarde of more than $50 million which will be used to buy new businesses. Read 3.c of the sale of Suzhou, " all risks ...passed to purchaser.." Expect uncollectible receivables also to go to the buyer. Announcements of new purchases (using the $50 plus million cash hoarde) may see the price spring up if it is positive (likely to be). I still have a bit of the shares, due to the good vibes, trading is okay, as kenna stuck could only be short term. Believe eventually price will go up. But please DYODD. |

When reading through the SGX filings, a lot seems to have happened in 2017 for Allied Tech, in a way that will change the company in a very big way. Not only looking at the positive, but the downsides as well. It' s worthwhile to spend sometime to understand what' s being going on for long term investors. Not yet a LT investor, at this point, until it is clear what is going to happen to the company. Positive news is that the cash hoard is waiting to be invested, 90% is to be used for new investments as stated in their SGX filing. The company will undergo a drastic change in shareholdings, the controlling share of 56% by the same related group of SSH will be diluted to half, meaning 28%. Change of the independent directors, with one chap who has 3 companies (not sure if he has time for Allied). many things happening. It looks like they got rid of the Chinese business, last year it was Shanghai and another place, in 2017, it' s Suzhou, it looks like they are shifting out of metal stamping in China. Now the big news has yet to come, new investments. Whether positive or negative is yet to be seen. DYODD. |

You can quote any price during matching as long as you have the trade limit and within the pip limit allowed by SGX.

Nothing is brewing. During pre open/close, you can queue any price as long as you have the trade limit. The BB has alot of trade limit. So they can dump an extreme low or high price to check the queue.

I think to play this one, no hurry. Expect good news, but dont know when, they will probably use their cash hoard to buy something, possibly another tech co. Meanwhile, price see saw up and down. | ||||

Are they doing some matching? Doesn' t make sense for price to go up and down like this. now it' s 7.8? Should be 7.5 i think last traded.
