BP had said that, within 10 years, it planned to raise its annual low carbon investment 10-fold to around $5 billion a year. It also aimed to have developed around 50 gigawatts of net renewable generating capacity by 2030 &ndash a 20-fold increase from 2019. BP agreed to enter the offshore wind sector through a strategic partnership with Equinor to pursue offshore wind opportunities in the US, including taking a 50% stake in two leases off the US east coast. This is given but still give shortists the ammunition to force it down. I'm sure no one has any idea when Madam will show hand but perhaps we can get a hint from Keppel Result announcement if they will give an update of the strategic plan that include option to divest their oil rig business.

Not a good business decision. Didn't a minister a month or 2 ago said offshore is an area Singapore spent generations to build up. So think there's some pride in there. Chartered was different. It didn't have the capabilities to compete w the big guys.
