SINGAPORE News ? Seatrium?s decision to undertake a share consolidation will not have a fundamental impact on the stock, but will discourage speculative activity on the counter.
This seems to be the view among brokers and analysts after the company announced a 20:1 share consolidation exercise on Feb 26 as it unveiled its full-year earnings for 2023.

In connection with the Operation Car Wash scandal, Seatrium has made provisions for the S$182.4 million settlement payment, and S$82.4 million " for indemnity to Keppel Corporation in relation to this matter," First part take it but why S$82.4m for indemnity to KC ?

Good to also see that they managed to report core operating profit in 2H23 after a few difficult years. Now the issue is how much some of the covering analysts will cut TP given that most have it pegged to PB (1.4-1.5x and if so, then most would need to cut TPs by quite a fair bit but that wouldnt be accounting for the return to profitability in FY24 and the trajectory ahead. This will involve covering analysts changing their modeling of the stock.
