This is the fourth time it goes down after hovering at (19.5-20c) and we going towards 3 quater results and US elections, cautious approach is needed, please wait till things are more clearer.... I manage to clear all(400k) at 0.194 won't enter for some timefor now, please DYODD, happy investing.

Maybe it is due to the contra period. So, if a coy suddenly gets suspended before payment is due, n the client can' t afford to pay, the brokerage bears some risks. They just wanna cover their a**** fully n more. But if one pays upfrone, think there' d be no issue.

I am using trading account, not CFD.. There is a restriction order in place for some trading companies, to safe guard the bad exposures, I don't want to mention names, just be cautious... Invest only if you can hold for longer period, for now it's very uncertain.....

When OCBC make this call to hold at $0.166, VARD was trading at $0.154. So OCBC doing all a service asking all to hold. But go back further you see a different picture. Back in mid-July 2015, OCBC make a sell call. Interestingly, OCBC Securities PTE LTD has holding 4.5mil shares in March 2015 but in March 2016, OCBC holds 8.5mil shares. So while OCBC is asking all to sell back then, they themselves actually increases their stake in this coy in the same period. So now OCBC is trying to paint a bleak picture of VARD' s diversification strategy. Obviously those who had followed VARD closely can decide for themselves whether their strategy is working or not. What is OCBC really up to? Your job to think about it. |

 SINGAPORE (Sept 26): OCBC Investment Research is maintaining its &ldquo hold&rdquo call on Vard Holdings despite its efforts at diversification. The offshore support vessel (OSV) designer and builder has been hit hard by the oil price downturn, given that its key market, the North Sea, has collapsed, notes lead analyst Low Pei Han in a Monday report. Vard has been diversifying away from the oil and gas sector, notes Low, securing vessels related to aquaculture, module carrier vessels and luxury expedition cruises. Low says the luxury cruise market is doing relatively with Vard&rsquo s parent company Fincantieri seeing good utilisation of its yards. Vard has secured orders for four such vessels for Poanant and two for Hapag-Lloyd Cruises in August. However, Vard is still open to counter-party risk, as client restructuring continues to put pressure on its offshore order book. There could be future order deferments or terminations, with order termination allowing the loan creditor the right to accelerate the loan maturity date, unless Vard provides acceptable security, Low notes. OCBC Investment research has lowered its fair value estimate for Vard from 20 cents to 16.6 cents. Shares of Vard closed down 0.7% at 15.3 cents |
