I have been holding for almost 10 years now, mostly for my dividend income, and I will continue to hold, for the same reason. My concern is, will Governments Fiscal policies continue to be what it was, given the fact that billions were spent to combat Covid19. It will almost be a sure bet that some of the future money would be spent of healthcare & hospitality. How are we gonna recoup whatever billions that were spent? Not saying Government projects will be cancelled, but surely some would be delayed or postponed. Mindef Budget would probably be trimmed as well. The aerospace industry will be hard hit as more airlines struggled or closed. Countries would probably scale down their orders for tanks or marine vessels. In a nutshell, contracts will never be as lucrative as before. The other factor is business costs will set to   rise.  One thing for sure though. STengg will not collapse, just that its growth potential will be challenging. And having said this, I will continue to hold, as you mentioned, a stable stock. Most countries & economies have taken big hits due to the current global crisis. I would be surprised if all these entities do not reduce or postpone their spendings.  Any differing views? I have seen cases where it adjust less than the div amt on ExD date, then recover back all the adjusted diff within the next few days.  I have also seen cases where instead of going down, it goes up on ExD date (seldom, but i kena 1-2times b4). Actually all depends on what the BBs want to do with it. But FA wise, nothin wrong with this stock. It did however announced that FY 20 earnings will prob be lower by 5-15%, which could be why prices are dragged down these few days. hobbes12      ( Date: 18-May-2020 17:07) Posted: Haha..I don' t do contra. x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	Even if aircrafts are grounded, the fleet still need to be insspected, maintained and checked right? So the MRO business might not be completely zero during the downtime, although big projects might have to be  postponed or cancelled.
