Comparing OSAT with OSATs, Stats is not that bad a performer. Further, M& A unlike investments, can be based on strategical, national or even cultural reasons.

The fundamentals from Poems analytics are as follows: Price to book value: 1.3 ( at 66 cents) ROE: -5.03% (losses) Debt to equity : 99.43% Does' nt look pretty does it? Question is would anyone pay a premium to buy over a co that' s not top notch? Now at 75cents? And talk it is worth 90 cents? Plse do your sums. I see that 83% of the shares are owned by Singapore Technologies according to the co' s annual report 2013. This means they have the muscle to fix the price, and it may not be what it' s wished for. |

Hua Tian is not even in the top 15 list of top chipmakers by revenue, hence they are not capable to buy Stats' . In fact Stats is in a better position to buy them instead. The deal that reallyy matter, is the one by 6th largest chipmaker, JCET. Rumour from inside said that they are already visiting the Stats plant in recent weeks. Let' s not waste time with other buyers, the deal is done with Jcet - full stop. And the price is around 90cts or 2B. Anything else is a distraction and speculation.

Guys dont panic.......once panic sure whatever px also will down n shortist will come in again.............. still have one more buyer currently ..............believe on hand still have few buyers standing by to offer.....if not TH will just sell cheaply to either one of the china buyer Company had slowly reducing their losses...........next coming 3rd n 4th Q will be on course to black...............that why TH is ask for more my view that all |
