It provides consultancy, design and engineering, technology, and construction services solid waste, wastewater, drinking and process water, bio solids, and sludge services and district cooling services, as well as engages in operating and maintaining facilities and developing, owning, and operating power plants. This segment operates in China, Qatar, Singapore, the United Kingdom, and other countries. The company' s Property segment is involved in the property development and investment, and property fund management activities. It develops residential, office, and commercial properties owns and operates hotels and golf clubs and provides marketing, property management, and treasury services. This segment operates in Australia, China, India, Indonesia, Singapore, Vietnam, and other countries. The company' s Investments segment invests in the companies involved in the transportation leasing, education, oil and gas exploration, and automotive retail sectors, as well as provides travel agency services. Keppel Corporation Limited was incorporated in 1968 and is based in Singapore.

Keppel unit' s Qatar sewage-treatment contract terminatedJUL 27, 2020 08:42 AM
KEPPEL Seghers Engineering Singapore, wholly owned by Keppel Corp, has ceased to operate and maintain the Doha North Sewage Treatment Works in Qatar with effect from July 25. This was a design-build-operate project awarded by Ashghal, the public works authority of Qatar. The client terminated the Keppel Seghers contract after having implemented a new framework contract to operate and maintain Qatar' s sewer network and its associated assets, Keppel Corp said on Monday. The Keppel Seghers project comprised wastewater treatment, water reuse and sludge treatment facilities. It was handed over in phases to Ashghal over 2015 through 2017, and was in the 10-year operation and maintenance phase. Shares of Keppel Corp fell S$0.24 or 4 per cent to close at S$5.71 on Friday. |

There was an official announcement and not a speculation. Temasek needs to acquire 30.5% or at least 550million shares in this regards.

Further its T who set the condition .....W covid any company is not expect to do well ....not just for Q2. For whole of 2020 So I expect T to amend the clause when needed. Dont see it any issue esp T is a long term investor Dyodd

There is no confirmation that the kepple offer is linked to SCI/SNM . It is the spuculation by the mkt players . Thos who bought kepple high price hope there is a deal , just hopeful that all . Anyway I sold all my keppel , feel no piont hopjng for someting out of imagination. | ||||

I agree. Temasek already owned 20.5% Keppel Corp. After taking so many months of domestic and foreign regulatory approvals. The Temasek strategic plan sure to proceed. The plan include company refocusing and strengthening certain business such as strategic partnerships, acquisitions, disposals or mergers.

Many people who used CPF to invest above $6.50 must be curse and swear.. Hope the deal will still proceed with some adjustment of offer price $7.35 in view of covid19 situation. Hopefully the NAV can still remain at above $6.00

The impairment charge for Keppel from Floatel&rsquo s review could be about S$130mil, according to Macquarie Group Ltd. estimates. Factoring in its investment gains and land sale, I think it' s very tough for Keppel to meet and to stay within the material adverse change clause for the deal with Temasek.

TH may revise their offer price but it will not be in their interests to call off the deal. TH needs to take control of Keppel to engineer a merger between Keppel O& M and SCM. Both of these arms are cancerous to Keppel and SCI and by merging them , TH will derive better value via higher stock prices for their Keppel and SCI holdings.
