But does temasek actions give u hope? Or the director that did the $17.90 transaction give u hope? SIA management gives u hope?
Mkt are greedy. Maybe SIA can set up covid vaccine division and take 8 healthy person and claim that 1st trial is promising. Then shares will go to $5 and above. Steady?

People who bought additional Rights have taken on additional risk. Rights + $3.00 might have been cheaper than the mother shares but that was intended to attract people to take on the risk. | ||||

In order for SIA to cross the $5 threshhold it has to gain, at least, $1.37 to attain $5.01. There are known obstacles such as too much debts, over hedge on fuel, interest payments. Apart from these, there are other unknowns such as when and how foreign airports are to reopen. Passengers' response to the new mode/price of flying. All these unknowns are beyond the control of the Singapore Government even with a deep pocket like Temasek, it is near impossible for SIA to survive in the long term. | ||||

I think the chances of HK Land going back to 5 is higher than SIA going back to 5 within a year. So why not go with the other blue chip? | ||||

Different market, different expectation. See the Thai airways, on the edge of bankruptcy, and no detailed restructuring plan, and not yet proven effective plan , it can shot up 60% just because of the " hope" .

In my opinion, airline in 3~5years won?t be at pre pandemic. Most likely still paying off their debts. They take on massive debts to prevent it from collapsing.
You can just do your own research or search online. I may be right, i may be wrong. You don?t have to take my word for it. Make ur own decision. Just go do some research on your own. Dyodd. Happy trading folks

Im only putting in $1000 for my MCB
Yearly 4%-6%(year 1-10).. better SSB or fixed D. Its callable bonds so which means SIA can terminate the bonds and they will return as cash to us plus whatever 4-6% pa given. If nv call.. it will mature on year 10 and the amt will br converted to shares as well.. est value to be ard 1.800 when it matures. For a 1000, why not? Diversified mah.. treat it as supporting SIA. Likewise for SIA shares.. now i pay abt 3.7/share.. along the years i earn dividend.. i see it as potential to rise to 4.5 1 year later. Supporting my national carrier.. 🤓

Seems like u long and managed to earn quite a bit? Few advises for u, likely u long at a bad price earlier this week right? Keep for a week and sell asap to minimise ur loss.. come 8th June, dumping is gonna happen.. By then.. ur loss gonna be huge 😉 My MCB and SIAR, gonna exercise the rights and own them. My Avg price still ard 3.70 after buying in abit more today. Lemme know ur buy price.. hope ur cost is below my 3.7 🤓
