My Guess- i think they started out wanting to privatise Sembcorp marine. So halt trading. But marine had that revolving facility deal that states that it can only happen if Sembcorp industry remains majority shareholder . They must have forgotten to take that into consideration. So now they figuring out how to proceed and halt trading for so Long . | ||||

With the prolonged halt, those vested are losing oppurtunities in reallocating their investements now that the market is moving up quickly.

I feel the same. Wonder if they need to justify why halt since Thursday ... also sigh .. good news price shoot up is a good thing ... but drag so Long still not release ... I don?t feel very optimistic

Why do they halt trading on Thursday when they are not ready to release the announcement? Shares can still trade on Thursday and Friday normally. Then halt on Friday after mkt closed. Isn't it more appropriate? So strange. I don't get the reasons for halt early and kept investors out from trading (like on purpose). SGX allows like that huh ... | ||||

Almost the entire volume on sembcorp marine 14 million took place between 3:30 and close . Strange that in last hour it saw such volume. Anyways now I guess 7:30am monday we hear something | ||||

Is there something odd with the arto\icle? I thought Semb Marine closed wed at 0.85 n not 0.725 as stated?
