The eWLP is a niche with many US patents. You can check this out at US Patents Office, no need to believe me. Apple is not stupid. As i said before, this business is cut throat. Stats is consider a good company if you look at the top 10. How many companies had gone burst if we look back at the last 20 years. Stats  will get better in Q3 and Q4 when A8 roll in 09 Sep, just wait and see the results. Lastly, in a bidding game, the winner usually don' t show hand early and let us do so, to study how they should position. Further, M& A unlike investments, can be based on strategical, national or even cultural reasons.
