I' m back ! I got shot down for telling everyone it had to go to $3.91 before  delisting - almost there now  I repeat CapitaLand will touch $3.91 before delisting  It will then go back to $4.10 on eve of delisting. Sorry to remind you all but I did warn you.

Any REIT, or REIT related stocks, like REITs management, sponsors, investment, are long term, and like any other stock will go through a cycle, but the difference is its bottom of the cycle is much shorter, and the uptrend much longer. Plus it' s yields are much higher, usually constant and it' s recurring income much more assured. My strategy has always to sell tampok on the upturn, and accumulate on the downturn, while enjoying the constant and steady dpu. But of course the REITS I hold are all the blue chips and reputable types. I don' t go for the Nigerian types, and most of these have the potential to trade at a premium to its nav, unlike the pure property atocks which tend to trade at a discount to their nav. Furthermore, with REITs, there' s always a bonus to enjoy the benefits of gaining from their rights and scrip dividends.   Even if after the issue of such shares, the price may go down, but over time they will always bounce back and up and higher. But of course, you must always been alert and monitor and know when to take profits, if you a short or medium type of investors. But the key here, is if you have been in REITS, when and if you sell, you must learn or know how to buy back... of course lower than what you sold lar.  for CLIM, it will be a Capitaland spit into REITs management and investment.it' s income will be more steady and assured. Unlike a property stock that is so affected by economic environment, over government regulations, restrictions, competition in biddings, constant heachach of how much land banks it has, etc etc. And most people didn' t hear or read too well. CLIM will not be just looking after its mega REITs from the Capitaland group .... they will also get into managing other REITS as well, not only here but overseas as well. CLI is a strategic investment and not for investors looking for a quick short term gain and profit.   That is the reason why most retail investors are getting out of CAPLAND and later CLI so long as they could make quick profit.   That would be the retail investors modus operandi.   However, many institutional investors timeline for CLI is between 3 to 5 years before exit so long as CLI management is able to meet the key KPIs, which can be verified every 6 months.   The share price of CLI would be based on fundamentals, the KPIs.   As for the US stock market, the US Congress have just approved the US1.2trillions infrastructure program.   In addition, the Democrats are trying to secure the US3.5trillion initiative, which the US market would view it positively upon implementation over the next 3 years.   Looking at hindsight, the US market remained rather bullish during the 8-year tenure of President Bill Clinton.   Barring any unforeseen circumstances, the Biden tenure would hopefully be the same.     |

Institutions net buying CapitaLand, AEM and A-Reit since June 30The three Singapore-listed stocks receiving the highest net institutional inflows during the early part of Q3 2021 to Aug 12 were CapitaLand, AEM Holdings and Ascendas Reit (A-Reit).CapitaLand received S$123 million of net institutional inflow over the six weeks, bringing the year-to- date (YTD) net institutional inflow to S$76 million. It attributed the 25 per cent price gain in the 2021 year through to Aug 12 to its significant restructure. The restructuring plan is aimed at sharpening its strategic focus that will create CapitaLand Investment (CLI), which is poised to be a leading listed global real estate investment manager. CLI is poised to have a strong Asia foothold that comprises fund management, lodging management, stakes in listed funds, stakes in unlisted funds and investment properties. With investment resilience, a mega-theme of the global financial and its adjacent sectors in H1 2021, leading international real estate investment managers, Brookfield Asset Management Inc and Blackstone averaged 60 per cent price returns in the 2021 year to Aug 12. The expected date for the delisting of CapitaLand and listing of CLI shares is on or around Sept 17. Stocks that ranked after CapitaLand, AEM and A-Reit for highest net institutional inflow during the early part of Q3 2021 to Aug 12 included Mapletree Industrial Trust, Raffles Medical Group, Singapore Press Holdings, UMS Holdings, Frasers Logistics & Commercial Trust and Yangzijiang Shipbuilding Holdings. |

hmm.. after selling ur capitaland, u seem to come here to post negative things almost amouting to fear mongering... U may have sold off too early but u already earn $11k. Do enjoy ur $$$. Don' t have to come here and post negative things and instill fear. We ALL know Dow is at record high.. dun worry, dun need to " tell" us, we are not living in caves. perhaps u can go to Singtel thread to voice ur opinion since u no longer have capitaland and is now aiming singtel. Thanks.

There is one thing to note. On 15 Sep, we will be getting the cash component aka $0.955. So there will be some shareholders who will use the $$$ from the $0.955 to buy CLI (CLIM) helping to push the share price up besides the buying from institutional investors. Some institutional investors may not want to buy now becos of the extra burden aka Cash + CICT shares .. So they may decide to wait until 16 Sep to just buy up CLI. So I think CLI trading beyond or near to $3 is very very likely. | ||||
