It is worth remembering that STA is the best performing stock in the SET100 index YTD - so a period of consolidation (in a range Bt24.5 to Bt30) is probably neccessary after a rise of 150% this year. Remember this stock was still trading at Bt10 in March when the pandemic was in full swing. A Thai stock like STA (especially based in the South) doesnt receive the sort of attention as Malaysian glove manufacturers and it has always been a laggard. To put this in historical context. The H1N1 pandemic which lasted from Feb 09 to August 10 (when the WHO announced it was officially over) - STA' s share price rose from Bt2 to Bt33 peaking in December ' 10 2 months after the pandemic was declared over (the first vaccine (Sinovac) was approced in September 09) with most of the rise coming in 4Q 09 and the first 9 months of 10. Through my personal STA investment of 500K shares in STA Thailand at 28.25 baht, I see price appreciation may come sooner than expected on my long term technical chart readings of ABCDE pattern. Frankly I harvested my earlier round of my STA profits at average purchase price of 12.50 baht and liquidated at 17.50 baht which I held for more than 4 months time line. I am presently holding 28.25 bahts for the past one half months already. I like to say STA counter is not a speculative counter but a buy and hold counter. Patience is required to reap my rewards as my first TP is between 44 and 47 baht. I have already detected institutions buying against contra and weak retail investor holders liquidation selling with shortists standing on the institutions side by shouting down mkt. Some of distressed, disillusioned big retail investors holding for few months may have also contributed to the few days ago aggressive selling and switching to buying other lucrative upside share counters . I have done my due diligence and I do not like to bang my head against the institutions buying whom I consider as the whales of the financial industries who have better investment knowledge than the man in the streets. Any way, to each his own on their investment philosophy as share investment is a zero sum game and in many instances the buy and hold investors will have the advantage of big winnings as long as the company he stock picks reports strong earnings every quarter which is the life line of the company. To me, STA is a well managed and progessive company that I wish to have in my investment portfolios for the long haul.

It will give you an idea if the current holding is strong/weak.  it' s to the current holders advantage that the price did not fly up too, as what you said. Thus the price we held at is super good and undervalued compared to the other glove counters.  Don' t forget, the price did flew to $1.75 because of STGT IPO. But somehow dropped back low because some force thinks better to peg SGX-STA price to SET-STA price?
