Never say never , says James the bond . Najib may fall. iF..... If he didn' t come up with new strategies to save his career from current crisis. Why ? 1. International efforts and pressure ( US, then Swiss, then now Australia media....) 2. Domestic efforts and pressure ( mahathir still have some influence . Add this to the opposition parties, it is a force not to be reckon with. ) Once the numbers in support grow into strength in this mahathir + opposition camp, you shall see some umno switch sides . When that happens, I think very dangerous for Najib already) Best time for Sarawak and Sabah to play an important role and have good bargaining powers for themselves. But I doubt they will go for independence. That is too dreamy . If there should be a leadership change in putrajaya, just make sure Dr M and his wanted designated person do not get into the power. Compare Najib and Dr M, who can forget Dr M policy on CLOB making so many lose their $ of sweat. Dr M in power was, is and will never be good for Singapore. |

what is your say... He who had played a key role for 22 years, getting Najib to be M' sia PM n after getting rid of Badawin and months later he (Dr M) conspired with others including foreign writers and own UMMO MP to bring down Najib. The same person is even willing to work with his past political arch enemies, including those whom he had jail them n put behind bars under ISA. The like of Anwar, Lim kit Siang son and throwing cases out of court. In his fruitless efforts to oust Najib. His only motivation is just one, to hold the rein of proxy power in his hands once again n till his son can take over in places, whom will do his biddings, and it does not matter who he will works with to achieve in bolehland. KUALA LUMPUR &mdash Former Malaysian Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi has been appointed adviser to state oil firm Petronas, in what is seen as an affront to statesman Mahathir Mohamad, who was recently fired from the position for orchestrating a campaign to oust Prime Minister Najib Razak. Dr Mahathir, Malaysia&rsquo s longest serving Prime Minister, had also lobbied hard for Mr Abdullah&rsquo s resignation as premier seven years ago. RELATEDNEWS&ldquo The Cabinet agreed to the appointment of former Prime Minister, Tun Abdullah Ahmad Badawi, as the new Petronas adviser,&rdquo Mr Najib said in a statement on Friday (March 25) evening, adding that the appointment will take effect from April 1. Analysts told TODAY the move to appoint Mr Abdullah, 76, was akin to a slap on Dr Mahathir&rsquo s face. However, they were not surprised over Mr Abdullah&rsquo s appointment given that the post has gone to two previous prime ministers, namely Hussein Onn and Dr Mahathir. This was despite speculations that former Finance Minister Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah was also in the running for the post. He was also the first chairman and CEO of Petronas, when he was just 37 years old. Mr Asrul Hadi Abdullah, a director with political risk consultancy BowerGroupAsia, told TODAY that the Mr Abdullah&rsquo s appointment is &ldquo adding insult to injury&rdquo after Dr Mahathir was removed from the post he had held since 2003. &ldquo This is especially since the former premier has always viewed his succesor (Mr Abdullah) as incompetent,&rdquo he said. Mr Ibrahim Suffian, the executive director of Malaysia-based independent pollster Merdeka Centre said as Prime Minister, Mr Najib has the prerogative of appointing the advisor to Petronas. &ldquo What he has done is not wrong but it underlines the big fight between the two of them,&rdquo he said in referring to the fraying ties between both Dr Mahathir and Mr Najib. Dr Mahathir handpicked Mr Abdullah as his successor when he stepped down in 2003 after leading the country for 22 years. But Dr Mahathir later became highly critical of Mr Abdullah&rsquo s stewardship, including the cancellation of the former&rsquo s plan to build a &ldquo crooked bridge&rdquo to replace the Causeway, and began pressuring Mr Abdullah to resign. Mr Abdullah stepped down in 2009 after the ruling Barisan Nasional coalition lost its two-thirds majority in the 2008 General Election, its worst performance since 1969 and handed over the baton to Mr Najib. |

Dr M is old, wounded and lamented, Umno president Najib Abdul Razak is following his footsteps and not allow past party presidents to allowe the democratic process for smooth transition of party leadership and support the right of members to air dissent and debate their performance. If the current PM of Malaysia thinks all UMNO members are supportive of him, then he is very very wrong. They are just seeing the situation how it goes. When they feel less numbers are on Mr N side, they will switch sides as fast as a roti Prata man switches his Prata ...... Thus : IR s strategy can be the winning strategy for the current PM or whoever becomes the next PM

Whatever happened to Malaysia and in Malaysia today, I think you get it right. It is all the doing of Dr. M . He sowed the seeds and reaped the consequences. If Anwar his deputy then had become the PM, Anwar being pro business would have turned Malaysia into a more successful and richer nation. Now Dr M is joining the opposition voices that Anwar ' leads' ? Very ironic indeed. The current PM must understand one thing, only economic success in Malaysia can give him any slim chance of total revival from current issues he is facing. If he fails to understand this, that' s it.
