Has anyone considered that Genting can buy up the land rights for the 3rd IR?  No one says that they cannot own 2 IRs in SG right? Anyway - look at Macau, more casinos, the pie gets huge, and casinos benefit.  Further, I dont think they have the same concept. GENS is about theme parks, MBS is also Conventions, so the 3rd IR casino could have a beach resort concept - who knows? Anway, it will never be built in Jurong, or AMK or Toa Payoh - the Govt cannot put IRs in the HDB Heartlands, as that would have a huge social gambling problem.

Yes u are indeed very smart. Jurong being 2nd cbd, gonna huat big big...I already daydreaming about it for a few years haha... Genting at Jurong and Jurong properties Super huat ah!!! Also, someone mention telco additional player affect existing telco such as StarHub...so did he buy StarHub on recent dips?  And how can one compare additional player for telco and additional IR?? Haha...one is about boosting economy another is competitor for service...🤔

Will 3rd IR affect Genting negatively? The answer is a no-brainer. It is a YES. The recent similar case can be found in the Telco space. Singtel, Starhub, M1 are all down because of the addition of new player. The same will happen to Genting, period.   |

Please please build more IRs in Singapore. Singapore needs more IRs and casinos.  The hotel REITS will soar, private property prices will soar, many many companies will come and set up shop here. Many PRC and Indians will want to visit. We will be the centre of the world with the best financial centre.  We should not be myopic, and should see the many many benefits that Singapore will benefit with more IR casinos. At least 5 to 10 IRs!!!

Yes agree.  The private property prices in Singapore sky rocketed when the 2 IRs were completed. I hope to see many many more IRs and casinos being built in Singapore, all over Sentosa, Brani, Marina Bay etc. The more the merrier.  Many foreigners and PRC will come, and our hotel room rates and property prices will sky rocket.  I will fully support many many casino IRs in Singapore!!!  Please SG Govt let in more IRs.

MInd you - I detest the darn ABSD though. What keeps me from adding more props to my 6 SG props are the thought of paying 19percent stamp duties. I love the TDSR but I hate the ABSD. Sickening.

I have been investing in SG property for over 20 years. Only rise over time, never fall. If there is any ASEAN integration - more and more will flock to SG. Ever heard of 10million planning figure for SG???

Why is 3rd IR shocking?? This is good news to boost Sg economy, And how fast can 3rd IR be built? Overnight?  Recent property cooling measures may be surprise to majority but for property gurus they would have anticipated and felt nothing. Even with ABSD, they are still buying...haha. And whete is 3rd IR going to be built? Long ago they speculated this already ...would be big huat to those vested in property around the 3rd IR...haha...so look forward to it.
