i think current price is a good starting point for accumulation. NAV of 93 cents is still quite undervalue comparing to current price of 80 cents. i believe things will get better with Oil prices down, old ship being changed with new and bigger ships. revenue may generally increase going forward |

Waiting too. approaching to my buy region. Oil price drop, give hope to container shipping industry which account about 20% of the operation cost. the 30% drop in fuel oil price easily can increase 5 to 6% margin which can turn NOL to be profitable.   |

Managed to scoop some at 80c ? Most CEO will have KPI that relate to share price too. NOL Mgmt seems totally no bother ! I got some at 80 and 80.5 and there are so many matched with 1 lot order ! Someone must be trying to manipulate the share price by placing stream of 1 lot order. It looks like some system trading by traders. As long as NOL Mgmt remains silent and no timely disclosure, these traders will feed on market fear and uncertainty. We need to pressure NOL Mgmt to share more and offer more certainty and the actions being taken on an ongoing basis to improve the companies. Just telling us of how much they save at every quarterly release of result is not sufficient.

Join me to urge them to monitor NOL and seek clarification and timely disclosure on the sale of APL Logistic as we can' t always be reading updates only from newswire as well as more timely update of their business condition to avoid surprises such as the impact of the severe congestion at Southern California. It is likely that insiders had already anticipated the impact to sell down the stock over last 2 mths. If the congestion problem eases or they have found a way around it as they shared as their action plan to reduce the impact, likewise, insiders may have early intelligence again.

My advise: - APL Logistics (1 billion) is too little. NOL should aim for 1.2 to 1 5 billion. It will be best to release as IPO to enable flexibility & able to retain business by only selling 40%. - For APL Shipping, a need to sell more vessels to manage undercapacity. |

  Extract from BT 6 Nov 14 [CHONGQING] The global shipping market is unlikely to see a recovery in the next two years due to continuing oversupply of vessels, the chairman of China' s largest shipping group said on Wednesday. Ma Zehua, the chairman of China Ocean Shipping Group (Cosco), told reporters on the sidelines of a conference in Chongqing that the firm was focusing on cost control, securing long-term customers and expanding in emerging markets, such as South America and the Middle East, to counter the slump. As part of a recently-announced government push to reform the country' s shipping industry, the company will also soon announce partnerships with other large Chinese firms, he said, but declined to provide details. Cosco Group is one of China' s largest government-controlled conglomerates, and is the juggernaut of the country' s shipping industry. It controls more than 800 vessels which cover more than 1,600 ports, and manages six listed firms including China Cosco and Cosco Corporation. |

While NOL staying persistently at such low price may be due to lack of institutional investors who share  similar concern with lack of confidence and clear strategy and forecast of returning to profitability, it is even more puzzling who is throwing those 1 lot to buyers are regular interval of a few minutes apart ??? Trying to hold down the price to collect or will there be any hostile takeover or short selling ? Both are not making much sense since Tamesek holds about 67% and can single handedly ward off any hostile takeover or instituional short selling player  like what happened to OLAM.
