NAV of 93 cents is still quite undervalue comparing to current price of 80 cents. i believe things will get better with Oil prices down, old ship being changed with new and bigger ships. revenue may generally increase going forward

x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	Managed to scoop some at 80c ? Most CEO will have KPI that relate to share price too. NOL Mgmt seems totally no bother ! I got some at 80 and 80.5 and there are so many matched with 1 lot order ! Someone must be trying to manipulate the share price by placing stream of 1 lot order. It looks like some system trading by traders. As long as NOL Mgmt remains silent and no timely disclosure, these traders will feed on market fear and uncertainty. We need to pressure NOL Mgmt to share more and offer more certainty and the actions being taken on an ongoing basis to improve the companies. Ma Zehua, the chairman of China Ocean Shipping Group (Cosco), told reporters on the sidelines of a conference in Chongqing that the firm was focusing on cost control, securing long-term customers and expanding in emerging markets, such as South America and the Middle East, to counter the slump. As part of a recently-announced government push to reform the country' s shipping industry, the company will also soon announce partnerships with other large Chinese firms, he said, but declined to provide details. Cosco Group is one of China' s largest government-controlled conglomerates, and is the juggernaut of the country' s shipping industry. It controls more than 800 vessels which cover more than 1,600 ports, and manages six listed firms including China Cosco and Cosco Corporation.

x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	While NOL staying persistently at such low price may be due to lack of institutional investors who share  similar concern with lack of confidence and clear strategy and forecast of returning to profitability, it is even more puzzling who is throwing those 1 lot to buyers are regular interval of a few minutes apart ??? Trying to hold down the price to collect or will there be any hostile takeover or short selling ? Both are not making much sense since Tamesek holds about 67% and can single handedly ward off any hostile takeover or instituional short selling player  like what happened to OLAM. Lucky03      ( Date: 04-Nov-2014 18:13) Posted: I' m still awaiting SGX reply to my weekend email to them if NOL failed to disclose the sending of the sale document for APL Logistic if it constituted material development, assuming Blomberg report  was accurate. Besides, given that NOL reported that the congestion at Southern California resulted in signifiacntly higher  operating expenses  for Q3 to the tune of US$30m, shouldn' t it be reflected in statement 13 of the financial report which will highlight trend and development that will have signficant impact  to next 12 mths  operation. This is especially so that congestion could have been evident at the start if summer which is around end May. If the congestion is not going to ease off, it should be forecasted and not left as surprise for Q4. The sale of APL Logistic is a very very signficant development given that UOBKH stated its book value is only US$124m and hence a sale of above US1B will mean NOL will be able to book in potentially huge profit of near US$1B ! This is besides the positive financial impact to its debt ratio, interest expense and finance cost due to exhange rate of escalating US$ when making repayment. It incurred US$40m finance cost for Q3 !   So, while lower bunker cost as a result of lower crude prices and cost savings derived from efficiency of larger ships  are important for NOL to return to profitability, the sale of APL Logistic will have immediate short term positive impact that outweight profitability concern. That' s why we must put pressure on NOL to make timely disclosure. It is absurd that we have to hear from newswires such as Reuters and Bloomberg which also means that the BIG BOYS would have taken advantage of early intelligence.   UOBKH latest report suggested TP of $1.01 and recommended a BUY even before factoring in the potentially significant positive impact of the sale of APL Logistic while OCBC upgraded to HOLD when NOL was trading at $0.86. Yet to see recommendations from the other analysts.
