x 0   x 1  Alert Admin	I take every opportunity to talk to the drivers whenever I can. Before Uber/Grab came in, 12 calls a day was normal. Now, on a very good day, 6 calls. Please note that is on a very good day. But if one has a Grab driver app and one opens it, call bookings shoot out like machine gun firing. That is the situation. Now that Zoom Bee opens its app to PHV to thin out the volumn of bookings, I guarantee you some drivers are boiling now, waiting to throw keys. Remember the recent case of fight between one Comfort driver and Grab driver at Wisma? The latter showed knief, and both were arrested by the police. That is how much taxi drivers and Grab hate each other.

Just look at those blie and yellow colour taxis queuing long long at the taxi stands together with the red and silver colour ones you will get the answer. If the situation is good as per the era before was here, you will see them hiding at one corner, not going into the taxi stands. Just feel sad for them 😢

x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	ComfortDelGro to trial new ride-hailing service with private hire cars on Feb 4 THU, JAN 28, 2021 - 5:44 PM COMFORTDELGRO Taxi will be embarking on a beta trial of its new ride-hailing service on Feb 4, the company announced on Thursday. The move, which will serve to supplement ComfortDelGro' s current fleet of 10,000 taxis, will involve a small number of private hire cars (PHCs) as the company gauges reception to the service. The company will assess the response to the service and gradually open it up to more PHC drivers after the completion of the trial period in March. Starting Jan 28, ComfortDelGro Taxi will also be recruiting a small group of PHC drivers for the ride-hailing beta trial to collect feedback from them. During the trial period, the company said, the commission fee for booking jobs will be lower than the current market rate. The PHC offering will be available only on the ComfortRide booking option, and it will be served by both PHCs and taxis. Passengers can choose from two options - either " taxi or car" or " taxi only" - when making a ComfortRide booking. The former will be served by both PHCs and taxis, while the latter by ComfortDelGro taxis only. The multiple stop feature which was added recently to the ComfortDelGro Taxi Booking App is also available for its ride-hailing service. Additional fares for the extra stop are automatically factored into the total fare. Only in-app cashless payments are accepted for the ride-hailing option, and there are no administrative fees for credit/debit card payments or other cashless payment modes. Drivers who have been asked to join the programme will undergo a two-hour training session to help familiarise them with the driver app where they will receive ComfortRide jobs. Is it more lucrative than renting out taxis that maks it justifiable to throw the rock at its own toes? How many has it rented out? At what rates? You all meed to answer these questions before cheering. Just look at Lion City Rental which was once S.E.A.biggest rental company. How is it doing now? What kind of dirt cheap rates it is renting out its cars now? Is it sstill worth doing? This weekend I will talk about the current situation of taxis and the reasons, and I will also talk about my predictions 6 months forward. I dont want to spoil your punting mood now because tomorrow is a trading day. So mean time, want to buy, just buy! Want to sell, just sell!

The PHC offering will only be available on the ComfortRIDE booking option and it will be served by both PHCs and taxis. Passengers can choose from two options ? either ?Taxi or Car? or ?Taxi Only? ? when making a ComfortRIDE booking. The former will be served by both PHCs and taxis, while the latter by ComfortDelGro taxis only. A very recent multiple stop feature in the ComfortDelGro Taxi Booking App, which allows passengers to add an extra stop, is also available for its ride-hailing service. Fares for the extra stop are automatically added into the total fare. Only in-app cashless payments are accepted for the ride-hailing option. There are no administrative fees for credit/debit card payments or other cashless payment modes such as NETS Click and PayLah! for ComfortRIDE trips, which account for more than half of all bookings presently. Starting today, ComfortDelGro Taxi will also be recruiting a small group of PHC drivers for the ride- hailing beta trial to collect feedback from them. During the trial, the commission fee for booking jobs will be lower than the current market rate. Those invited to come on board will undergo a two-hour training session to help them familiarise with the CDG Driver App where they will receive ComfortRIDE jobs.
