Now that the US 10-year treasury yield has gone up to 2.76%, it will become expensive to borrow US dollars to invest in other countries (carry trade). So likely fund managers are selling riskier assets like equities. When fund managers sell equities sell equities, they will sell companies that are going to see a drop in profit. Since DBS is going to see a drop in net profit due to troubles in Greater China, it is a natural choice for fund managers to dump DBS. So today' s gap down to below 100D SMA is an ominous sign. It could be a bloody April.

The dividend of $360 per lot is not even enough to make up for the losses as a result of the drastic drop in share price. Am expecting the price to drop further in the coming days.

x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	If you look at the US banks, they are also dropping because the rate hikes are too fast too furious. Business owners and potential home owners may hesitate to borrow from the banks as they may not be able to service the loans. In general, the rate hikes are designed to erode demand and eventually, a recession will come. So be very careful about DBS. It has dropped below 50D SMA  ($35.15) after ex-dividend and if the head and shoulder pattern is confirmed, then it will go below the neckline ($32).
