U are right ...the result is MAINLY SUPPORTED BY the ONE OFF exceptional sale of ATN $538M Without this sales ( what other thingy this management is going to sell sell sell ) , how is Singtel going to continue pay out good dividend without good REAL profit . ReOrganise, Major cost cutting , clean out the heavy top mgt. MUCH needed Dyodd

Singapore mobile business decline 5.2% and Aus decline 11.2%. The net exceptional gain was mainly attributable to a net gain on disposal of the Group&rsquo s 70% equity stake in Australia Tower Network Pty Ltd. and Boosted by a turnaround in Airtel&rsquo s results from a net loss in the same quarter a year ago.

First it is the banks ....and it STILL are all moving w increased dividend ( DBS fire the first shot ) Second are Kep and SCI ( result on 23rd ...we are waiting patiently ) Third are Olam and Wilmar .....commodity are moving ( esp w new listin ....in LSE and WIlmar in India alredy happened) UNFORTUNATELY ...this sleepy management of Sinktel ...is still sleeping ...can they do something aggressively like RE-ORG ? ( retired all the non contributer .....save cost ....or tmr result you will see EXPENSE increased again , How are they going to afford paying out better dividend like the banks and Kep ?? ) PLS PLS dont cut dividend again in the next qtr ( no dividend payout tmr ) DYODD
