I think dmf-methanol spread need to be at least greater than 3k before profits can be made. Methanol is now at 2600, could be tough | ||

dmf price keep falling, the price now stands as 5,475 per tonne and it could be below than the production cost. | ||

It can definitely go lower given that Q4-2022 and Q1 2023, Jiutian is not making much money with the DMF-methanol spreads barely breaking even. Also, with internal funding required to expand the new factory, this will take up more resources. Forsee a 1-2 year stagnation period before Jiutian can hit back to 0.090 levels and also lower dividend yields ahead (but this year June may have another 4-8% dividends as Jiutian did well in FY22 overall) |

Shandong Hualu Hengsheng Chemical Co Ltd is the market leader for now, but indeed, JT is a close second. Need to monitor the DMF-Methanol spread closely as well as geopolitical tensions if you want to hold Jiutian for long term. | ||

Jiutian is a market leader in this sector. Pretty sure they will be able to corner the market and ensure profitability going forward. also they have expansion in capacity which will be a price catalyst. With china reopening, I' m bullish on the prospects for the company. |

also, i realised Q4 results must be terrible...offset by fantastic Q1-Q3 results. We already know Q1 2023 will be as bad as Q4 2022...if market is forward looking.....then ...there is not much upside...unless..(the company starts stock buyback) lol | ||

methanol price 2.6k, dmf price has fallen to 5.3k. Jiutian has mentioned before it is barely able to make any profits with a 5k spread....Q1 2023 is left with only 1 mth to go....going forward i doubt the methanol-dmf spread will spike to 10-16k levels like before. Mkt is forward looking, hence i believe this will at most move to 0.080 tomorrow and be rangebound for most part of 2023 between. 0.076-0.09 once again |

Despite poor 2H22 result due to Covid19 lockdown, PE ratio stands at 1.6x only and cash on hand $0.11 per share. Unbelievably undervalued stock.
