This time round is very different if u notice as it only get pumped very little while the other rounds it gets pumped much earlier to have at at least 10% profit before it is dumped due to poor results.... It could denote something about the result this Q.

Earnings soon.. moving up.. again pattern same as last 3 Q.. price pumped up prior to earnings and price drop after earnings.. time to lock in profits for those who bought at 3.02 level.. I personally won't keep post earnings.. if cum div than will buy back low before it XD in may.. | ||||

Haha , I am not asking anyone to buy or sell.....but we never know when is the bottom. Maybe we know when there is value and near a bottom. Commodity counters are suppose to return with growth forecasted to be back this year for USA, China , Europe and Asia. Unless all these countries dont use any of this comoodities..... However, if it will go below $3 or came back up like now at 3.04,,,,is everyone guess? Good luck and happy investing. Vested.

 PUTRAJAYA: China will not impose a ban on Malaysian palm oil and palm-based products, said China&rsquo s Ambassador to Malaysia Bai Tian. Instead, he said China would import more primary products such as palm oil and rubber-based products from Malaysia in the future. &ldquo We will not set any limit on the import of Malaysian palm oil and related products. There will be no glass ceiling for the import,&rdquo he said after paying a courtesy call on Plantation Industries and Commodities Minister Datuk Seri Mah Siew Keong at the minister&rsquo s office here today. Malaysia exported palm oil and palm-based products worth RM8.52bil to China from January to November last year compared to RM7.76bil over the same period in 2016, an increase of 9.8%. Bai said China would encourage more Chinese businessmen to invest in the primary industry, especially biomass, in Malaysia. On China&rsquo s biodiesel market, he said the country&rsquo s diesel and biodiesel B5 consumption in 2016 was about 165 million tonnes and 8.25 million tonnes, respectively, while its biodiesel production in 2015 was 300,000 tonnes. &ldquo This means, we need to import eight million tonnes of biodiesel. I think this is a good news for palm diesel producers. We hope Malaysia will take up this golden opportunity,&rdquo he said. Meanwhile, Mah said China was the second biggest buyer of Malaysia palm oil and palm-based products after the European Union for its biofuel needs. &ldquo China has overtaken India to become the number two top export destination for Malaysian palm oil and palm-based products. &ldquo We expect China will be the biggest importer of our commodity in two years&rsquo time,&rdquo he said. Mah said the Ministry of Plantation Industries and Commodities through the Malaysian Palm Oil Board (MPOB) was conducting a joint study with China&rsquo s Tsinghua University on biodiesel B5. On the EU palm oil ban, Mah said Malaysia was actively diversifying new markets, including Iran, Vietnam, the Philippines, Japan and the Middle East. &ldquo I am heartened to hear that there will be no glass ceiling on export of palm oil to China. For the market as whole, we are now expanding our market. We hope every country will continue to buy our palm oil. We hope the issue (the EU ban) can be solve in a win-win situation,&rdquo he said. On rubber and rubber products, Mah said China had overtaken the United States and the EU to become Malaysia&rsquo s top export destination. I didnt mentioned abt any bb, more so I think recent EU ban do hv an effect on Wilmar . However I thk China is also buying this up . So I believe Wilmar will hv a gd Q4. Let the result tells....gd luck

Guys, Whatever trading rules and trading strategy you swear by, always remember this one simple and overriding rule... which to me is the Golden Rule of Trading which reigns supreme over all other rules we know or can think of. And this Golden Rule of Trading is... " When smart money moves into a market, that market will rise. When smart money moves out of a market, that market will fall." Its as simple as that. Any we all know it is a double confirmed and deeply established and irrefutable fact that the above statement is true. Applying this Golden Rule at the highest level, ie. at the geographical level to illustrate what this Rule mean, if smart money moves out of Asian markets to go into US and European markets, Asian markets will all languish and see a correction and US and European markets will rally. If smart money moves out of Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore and Indonesia to move into Korea, Japan and China, the markets of the former will fall and the markets of the latter will rise. Then at the market level, let' s say the STI..... if smart money moves from one sector into another sector, again the former will languish whilst the latter will flourish. Then even more micro this time and closer to the ground level... at the sector level....say telcos... if smart money moves out of M1 and Strahub to go into SingTel, investors of the two smaller telcos will Cow Bear Cow Bull whilst investors of Red Umbrella will Ho Say Lah. So the long and short is - if smart money (represented by their spokesman, ie. the monkey) is buying your stock, your stock will rise. If he is selling your stock, your stock will kena Orh Bark Khark. And once smart money is in your stock, EVERYTHING ELSE such as FA, TA, Newsflow, Corporate Earnings, Forward Statements by the CEO, DOW' s Closing, US Futures, etc will all become completely irrelevant and will have no effect whatsoever on the stock price. The stock will move in the direction chosen by smart money and the stock price will bow to the will of smart money. And the only way we can play this game successfully is to figure out which direction smart money is going. And then join him. So yes, smart money ... or stock operator... or invisible hands... or BBs... or by whatever names they are called... I call them " Monkeys" ... if they are buying or selling your stock, your stock will rise or fall. And nobody can stop the monkey. Becoz the simple reality of this game is whoever has and is willing to put the most amount of money to work on a stock, gets to say that stock goes up or down. Regardless of FA or TA or Corporate Earnings or newsflow etc etc. Who then can stop the monkey? Another bigger and stronger monkey. All the buying and selling by all the retail players here and elsewhere put together cannot move a stock' s price. At most is it will produce a blip on your screen. That' s all. Only the firepower of a monkey can move a stock and produce those big swings and phenomenal gains. Wilmar has a monkey. Last year in Jan 2017, he was around and he played Wilmar and gave her a very nice rally. You can see that strong rally in this chart.  I managed to catch part of that strong move and made very good money by hitching a ride on the monkey. But this monkey has not been around for quite some time ler.... easily 3 months. My KAKIs and I have been on a lookout for him on a daily basis. We miss him dearly. And hope that he will come back soon to play Wilmar again. Maybe he will when we are nearer towards 22 Feb 2018 when she is due to announce results after market close. |

Bro, i' m also heavily invested in Wilmar at higher prices. BUt you can' t just take 2016 results and minus off first 3Q for 2017 and say " nah, that means 4th quarter results will be xxx" . THat makes no sense! " Look into the reported financial" would mean dyodd on their commodity prices, bottom line etc etc Also, why is it so popular for investors to blame BB or FM for movements in their vested stock prices? I believe BB/FMs have much less of a say that most people think. Wilmar is selling of cos of general poor market sentiment and lack of sector rotation/interest. Simple as that. You can' t always use BB/FMs as the convenient bogey man...

Bro do some homework and look into the reported financial. Q1 net income 361, Q2 60, Q3 370 Q4 ?? ( all of 2016 is 972) ....so the first 3Q alrdy at 791M .....unless they make less than 181M for Q4 Dont forget that Q2 there was a special lost reported. Unless any unforeseen cases//// Q4 shld be ok ..... Also Leongyan mentioned FM driving it down ....why ? PLEASE DYODD.

Seriously it become an opportunity to gather this counter. Except for a bad Q2, nett income for Wilmar this year shld exceed last year ...DYODD Also recent EU issue ( import for palm oil restriction) cld be a non event or turn out a winner as CHINA is reported to buy up . ( report was in Chinese...cant paste here ) Anyway, at current price, and with result reporting 22nd after market .....I tend to believe a good set of numbers are comng. Happy investing.

Yup.. its how the funds play with this counter.. last 2 weeks was pushed up.. now I have a feeling they are pushing down to collect prior to earnings. Can go how low not sure but I am prepared to collect at 3.15 all the way to 3.05
