x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	Thanks ahhuat08      ( Date: 05-Sep-2019 12:41) Posted: share lending scheme is devised by cdp/sgx to faciliate short selling of a certain counter. so if say, when i first checked it was 4 over M shares of YZZJ available for lending/borrowing with the intention to short sell the mkt so i were the insti, when i see the demand for yzj is strong, i better buy back (or so called short covering) the shares so as to prevent further losses when the mkt moves up. in a nutshell, altho 2M shares is nothing, but i perceive it as a positve signs that insti are initiateting short covering already, so imho, it will rise up further. next few days u can check it for yourself, if the the qty keep increasing, meaning more and more instis are returning the shares to cdp to cover their prior shorts. hope this helps to explain the mechanism of cdp lending programme for those interested, just google, cdp lending pool and scrool down to see the availabiity of any counter thats available for shorting. this is hundred times bigger than cfd provided by the local brokerages, usually, only instis or private bank clients willl utilise this facility.   StevenKan      ( Date: 05-Sep-2019 11:53) Posted: What does it mean?
