x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	I think govt has learnt a lesson from NOL.  Some companies are strategic to Singapore, eg airlines , shipping and key companies.  SIA and SMM, Kep Corp wld be such strategic assets.  So Govt wld strongly prefer them to survive.  Maybe that' s one reason why govt is pouring in so much money into SIA and SMM to stop them from going bankrupt.  SIA and SMM are technically insolvent because of their huge losses.  They are kept alive because of govt and TH support. x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	i was hopeful for SMM when it demerged from SCI and gave a rights issue last yr and the TERP was 74c.  TH guaranteed the rights issue and all unsubscribed SMM rights at 20c.  At that point, most investors were hopeful.  Than came RI 2021.  That shattered the support given to SMM and many retail investors sold their SMM shares at abt 19c in july, early aug and took their money. Now we are waiting for 22 sep to scope up SMM below 7c.  Time is on our side.  Money is in our hands.  We can wait.  Can SMM stop its bleeding?  If not RI 2022 will come next yr and SMM will sink further.  Invest wisely
