 Alert Admin 		Today dropped is expected as it Ex-Div today. Dividend at 15cts.
But just too surprise to see it dropped close to 20cts for whatsoever reason.

Boustead Projects' wholly-owned subsidiary Boustead Projects E& C has been hauled to court for allegedly using unmanned drones at its construction sites without the relevant permits.

In a bourse filing on Wednesday night, the real estate solutions provider said it has received a summons to appear at the State Courts of Singapore on Aug 27 for allegedly breaching the city-state' s Air Navigation Act.

The company faces a total of 24 charges for flying a small unmanned aircraft without a Class 1 activity permit at the construction sites at 18 Kranji Loop and Cleantech Loop in 2019, and another 46 charges for operating an unmanned aircraft at the same sites in 2020.

It also faces seven charges for " failing to operate a small unmanned aircraft" and two charges for " failing to operate an unmanned aircraft" at the Cleantech site in 2019 and 2020, respectively.

Boustead Projects said the use of unmanned drones at the construction sites is " part of its efforts to leverage on the use of technology to increase the efficiency and productivity of its operations" .

The company added that it is seeking legal advice on the charges faced and is unable to quantify any potential financial impact on the group at this time.

Shares of Boustead Projects closed 0.8 per cent or S$0.01 lower at S$1.29 on Wednesday, before the announcement.

The share price will adjust accordingly to the dividend given out. 
if the dividend is 0.1 with a share price of $1, share price will adjust to $0.9 on opening. 

So assuming Boustead close at 1.18 today than tomorrow will open at $1.09/share
Assuming boustead project close at 1.3 today, than tomorrow will open at $1.146

Boustead Singapore appoints SGX Listings and Advisory Committee member Mak Lye Man as independent non-executive director

Boustead Singapore has announced the appointment of Mak Lye Mun as an independent non-executive director of the company, from July 29.

Mak is currently a member of the inaugural SGX Listings and Advisory Committee as well as the Listing Committee for ADDX (ICHS Tech) which looks into investments in private equities, hedge funds and unicorns.

He also holds positions in SGX-listed companies such as at Intraco Limited and Hwa Hong Corporation. 

Mak serves as an independent non-executive chairman at both companies and is also a member of the audit and remuneration committee at Intraco Limited.

Further to the appointment of Mak, Boustead' s board has also made some changes to its board committees.

Its other independent non-executive directors are Liak Teng Lit, Godfrey Ernest Scotchbrook and Tan Khee Giap. Its executive director and deputy CEO is Wong Yu Loon while its chairman and group CEO is still Wong Fong Fui.

Shares in Boustead Singapore closed flat at $1.19, before the regulatory announcement on July 29.

Boustead Singapore Limited, or BSL, is an engineering and technology conglomerate.

The group has four division -  energy-related engineering, real estate solutions, geospatial technology, and healthcare.

BSL announced a respectable  set of financial numbers  for its fiscal year ended 31 March 2021 (FY2021).

Revenue did slip by 6% year on year to S$685.7 million but net profit more than tripled year on year from S$30.9 million to S$113.1 million.

The group' s real estate solutions division was impacted by movement curbs and work stoppages related to the pandemic.

However, the setting up of a private fund,  Boustead Industrial Fund, helped the group to chalk up a one-off gain of S$134.8 million by unlocking the value of its industrial real estate portfolio.

A special  dividend  of S$0.04 was declared in addition to a final dividend of S$0.03.

The setting up of this fund will enable BSL to unlock further value in future years, acting as a strong catalyst for the group to continue doing well.
