x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	KrisEnergy completes G10/48 Montha-1 exploration well   Singapore, 23 November 2018 &ndash KrisEnergy Ltd. (&ldquo KrisEnergy&rdquo or the &ldquo Company&rdquo ), an independent upstream oil and gas company, provides an update on the drilling of the Montha-1 exploration well in the reservation area of the G10/48 licence in the Gulf of Thailand. Montha-1, which was drilled by the Mist jack-up rig, reached a total depth of 10,396 feet measured depth rotary kelly bushing (&ldquo RKB&rdquo ) (-9,138 feet true vertical depth subsea). No significant hydrocarbon shows were detected in the target reservoirs. The well is located at a water depth of 172 feet (52.4 metres) and lies approximately 15 km westnorthwest of the existing Wassana oil field.  The Mist jack-up rig, which is owned and operated by Borr Drilling Management DMCC, will complete operations at the Montha-1 well and will subsequently mobilise to the Wassana production area, where three firm infill development wells are planned plus one contingent well. The G10/48 contract area covers 1,525 sq. km over the Southern Pattani Basin in water depths of up to 60 metres. The Gulf of Thailand is a core operational area for KrisEnergy. The Company has a working interest in the B8/32 producing licence and operates G10/48 as well as G6/48, which contains the Rossukon oil development project. The Company also operates Block A across the maritime border in Cambodian waters, where it is developing the Apsara oil field. KrisEnergy is the operator of G10/48 holding 89% working interest. x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	Hopefully Dato Kong will prompt Kep Corp to take it into private    Keppel Offshore & Marine Ltd (Keppel O& M) has through its wholly-owned subsidiary, Keppel Shipyard Ltd (Keppel Shipyard), clinched a contract worth about S$30 million for the modification and upgrading of a production barge for SJ Production Barge Ltd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of upstream oil and gas company, KrisEnergy Ltd. (KrisEnergy). Keppel Shipyard' s scope of work on the production barge for KrisEnergy includes installation of a power generation module, Electrical House, new accommodation units and other refurbishment works. Mr Chor How Jat, Managing Director (Conversions & Repairs) of Keppel O& M and Managing Director of Keppel Shipyard, said, " With a strong track record in refurbishment, modification and upgrading projects, Keppel Shipyard is well-positioned to engineer and execute a broad range of solutions for a variety of vessels. The new contract from KrisEnergy marks our first project together since Keppel O& M' s appointment earlier this year as its preferred partner for a comprehensive suite of offshore oil and gas solutions." When completed in or around 3Q 2019, the production barge will be capable of processing up to 30,000 barrels of fluid per day, and equipped with gas, oil and water separation facilities. It will be deployed in the Apsara oil field, which lies in Block A of the Khmer Basin in the Gulf of Thailand. The field is Cambodia' s first hydrocarbon development. Brian Helyer, Vice President, Operations, for KrisEnergy, commented: " We are glad to join hands with Keppel Shipyard on this milestone oil development project for Cambodia. With the support of experienced and capable partners, we believe that we will effectively develop the flagship Block A asset for the benefit of the Kingdom of Cambodia as well as our stakeholders." This price would be key to understanding what the new and old major oil players (USA, Russia, OPEC) have decided to be a make-or-break level when it comes to COP. Qanghoo      ( Date: 22-Nov-2018 23:00) Posted: On the other side of the oil px continuum though, my  sense is that oil px wldn' t fall much below the current USD50+ for WTI.  The higher COP for shale wld crimp margins n cap production if px falls too low, thus preventing a free fall. Qanghoo      ( Date: 22-Nov-2018 22:47) Posted: The horizon anticipated in the article  quoted  is over the next 20+ yrs.  Short to medium term though, we can be sure the shale revolution is here to stay.  Even longer term, I wld discount to some extent the claim that the EIA' s estimate of shale reserves is overly optimistic.  A Federal agency, with, among other things,  America' s  energy security in mind, wld have weighed the facts at its disposal sufficiently carefully when penning  its estimates.  Anyway, for now at least,  with America  happily ' shaling out'   like we' ve never seen before, n surely with donald duckie cheering this on,  oil px cld be capped at current levels (if not tank further) for sometime yet.  Even when Iran sanctions kick in, post-exemptions, perhaps WTI might  just be range-bound ard  USD70+ (if I may venture a guess), especially if global GDP growth remains tepid, Duckie' s limited ability to rein in the Saudis nothwithstanding.

x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	I think Trump and his backers are looking to completely and utterly uproot the highest cost of production for crude oil in the industry so that US shale can establish a permanent place in the oil economy. Seems like Trump and co thinks its too early for an oil rally as it will spur the return of costlier deep sea offshore and oil sands investments, which is why I believe he kept calling for lower oil prices for the past few months.
