OKP won the contract thr low pricing... the price was so attractve that it was even much lower than the 2nd lowest bidded price. Strange that no one questioned how OKP could set such low price that it could kick away all other competitors at such a great distance.

It' s reported in the papers that the highway incident is being investigated, with a report expected in October 2017. Also mentioned is that their bid for the project was super low, and even though OKP has a low safety score, they got the tender through low pricing. Meanwhile, from now till the report is out in October, trading could be sideways to decline. Recount what happened and how market reacts to news, OKP is a classical case study: The viaduct accident occured at 3.30 am on 14th July. Within one hour of opening on 14th, price dropped 3.5 cents to 39.5 cents, this is already below the 100 MA. On Friday 15th, it stayed at 39.5 cents. On Monday, 17th, price crashed by 5.5 cents in heavy volume to close at 34 cents. Bargain hunters chased the price up to 38 cents on Tuesday, after all the massive selling has been done. On Wed, price was lifted to 39 cents, but a Doji appeared with a long tail, intra day low was 37 cents. This would be a sign of market uncertainty. Over the following 3 days, further signs of price weakness showed up in candlesticks and now it' s at 35 cents. Lesson I learnt from observing this price movement over a crisis, is that the reaction to news takes time, while sellers are unloading, bargain hunters continue to pick up without being aware of the negative news. Second lesson, is that when a price collapses below 100 MA, better steer clear, it' s broken support and free fall is a possible outcome. Third lesson, the writing was on the wall on Wednesday when the negative candlesticks showed up, so heed those warning signs and proceed with caution when you see uncertainty in trading and only negative news has been announced. The possibility of more negative news coming about is a possibility, so this counter is fraught with risks currently, until October. Prepare for October, if the report is positive, OKP can spring back as it has a strong order book and has been clocking incredible growth. If the report is negative, price could take a beating. |

If that' s man make error. In such job that concern lifes if its not careful. I would only can ask, Why no safety officers in duty as well review on masterplan layout ? Is there any risk evaluation study onto it ? This OKP must re-structure their man-in -charge on duty and responsiblilty .

Chairman Or Kim Peow is in Potong Pasir CCC and was awarded Public Service Awards a few times before. His 3 sons are Directors of the company (surprise surprise!) and were similarly awarded for their contributions to public service. How come so many big shots but still cannot ensure safety precautions, still kena fined, still got lapse? What are they going to do about it now that they kena so many accidents? Eh pls la, make sure you run your company properly first before boasting about
