I only use the chart as a rough pointer especially for stocks like Dairy Farm which can be quite volatile at times. My last comment that it may drop to around US$7 is based on (a) Before it jumped in Jan this year, the stock has been moving within a band around US$6.90 &ndash 7.50 for some 5 months (b) Fibonacci retracement, taking the bottom at Feb 2016 to the top in late March of this year, the 50% retracement is at around 7.36 and the 61.8% is at about 6.90 and (c) the lower support of the present down channel is at about 7.10 or lower. So much for my amateurish view. But looking at the bigger picture, the market seems to be in the corrective mode. DBS differ from market concerns on margins and the risk of online competition and higher rentals. DBS believe these have been factored into consensus. They continue to be positive on further cost efficiencies from enhanced operational processes through distribution centres, procurement and IT systems over the long term. Current share price ex-Yonghui values DFI&rsquo s core business at just 19x forward PE, below the regional peer average and its 9-year historical average forward PE of 25x.
