When the threat of recession is over and the money is flowing then SATS would have had many rivals to buy Worldwide Flight Services (WFS). 2. With Temasek underwriting entire deal including the taking up of any and all excess rights then it is like having a cash cow backing. 3. There is a possibility that SATS could suddenly surprise the market ( it has proven to be good at that the past two weeks ) and could suddenly decide and announce that there will NOT be a rights issue at all as Temasek will just buy a bigger stake and more bonds will be issued - if that happens the share rallies strongly. 4. If anyone thinks that in the end this SATS deal cannot look good when the Singapore government is behind it in terms of Temasek and given that SATS represents Singapore like SIA does ( look how SIA came through the pandemic ) then they are oblivious of reality. 5. I do agree however that it has to be well executed once operations fully start - it would need excellent execution as it is a big project. I see it as an opportunity like SIA in early days.

What SATS does with it ultimately matters to the outcome of the investment. Some see potential to make more money in the long run and so now is a good time to invest.
