x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	All waiting for Q4 results to do the talking but know which statement to be having an eagle eye on.  CASHFLOW!!!!  Not expecting much really given that IAH owe money no return! I am pretty sure profit statement will be very pretty but is really a bit self deceiving.  Is like a chicken rice owner ask one of the big four to value his chicken rice stall and they value it at $20mil but his cashflow only a few $k a month.....heehee.  Anyway he still put $20mil into his profit statement and balance sheet.  didisiaosiao      ( Date: 11-Feb-2016 12:14) Posted: V quiet......... no more magic? I have followed SGX for a year now and it seems to me that it is not business fundamentals that are in control of how the counters develop, rather manipulation driven by a desire to " gamble" . There is already a casino  on Sentosa Island, I suggest that the gamblers go visit the casino instead. I' m also suprised to learn that " borrowing shares that you don' t own" , sell them on speculation and buy them back later at a gain/loss is actually allowed. But instead of tapping and grooming up the exchange' s image of a place to obtain money from investors in the form of their owning a piece of the company, large syndicates instead use the place to pipe out investing capitals into their coffers by selling and then pushing prices downwards to make a gain on their bets which are supported by their having large amount of cash owned somehow through this piping for years. So with selling and selling by these syndicates, interests in the market waned and you see thin trades in majority of the listed counters.   The path is too narrow for the activities to return to their hey days of the eighties.   If things are to be put right, the authorities must think hard and improvise and improve with their best minds.(Haha as though they didn' t have.) Unless there is a spectacular rise of profits in the coming reports by more companies, we can only wait for better times and hope for the best for all listed companies in Sg.   Lol.
