Yes Iikewise, I' m waiting to test out the SXFI App from Apple store once it is launched to see how good it is but I would also wish Sim Wong Hoo to be upfront with their demo tests this Computex Exhibition in Taipei  by only using the SXFI App instead  for testing as there is no microphone in the first place to talk about but the photo-taking App once the dongle is sold in Q3.

Yes totally agreed with you!
Remember in the 90s, we are so proud to have them listed in nasdaq and the champion of Singapore technology frontier!
With so many lawsuit wins against those big shots really tells us that their patents were really being infringed on.

I can' t wait to download the App at the end of June to experience it myself. Only then would one get a actual idea how good the SuperX-Hi is and whether it would be a money spinner for Creative. I for one hope they would succeed and make us proud !  If Creative can hit the Holy Grail by just supplying Super X-Hi chips to one major earphone manufacturer they would have secured a home run. The rest will just have to follow and switch from " black and white" to " color TV" as well 😀

They must have tested it out already. You can see from Mr Sim interview that he finally introduce to market after satisfied with so many tests.

So far based on Creative&rsquo s demo  videos, those who have participated were wowed by this 3D  holography technology were people that have been inserted with a physical microphone into their ears for a sound test to map their ear canal profile.

But when Creative starts selling this 3D Holography dongle in Q3, there is no physical microphone to map your ear profile, but instead you are asked to download this app called Super XFI into your smartphone to have your ear picture taken.

So clearly there are 2 methods of measuring and mapping your ear, the  question is, is taking photo of your ear just as effective as opposed to using a physical microphone to measure  your profile?

So far their demo has not used the photo taking app which I hope they do for  consistency to prove that the app is just as fantastic otherwise the demo test is simply one-sided.
Vested.

If the testimonies from this Tapei fair are as impressive as the ones from the CES fair then we know Creative has winning product. We will know in about 10 days' time :)

Dongle revenue is in 2019 and beyond, not optimistic that 2018 will pay any dividends.

Creative-Huawei lawsuit: Appeals court grants Creative S$2.3m in extra damagesFRI, MAY 25, 2018 - 4:02 PM  MAINBOARD-listed Creative Technology has netted additional damages in its legal proceedings against Chinese technology giant Huawei International. Its appeal for additional damages was allowed on Friday, even as the Court of Appeal turned down Huawei' s appeal over the previous High Court judgment from August 2017. The appeals court' s decision, which is final, ordered that Huawei pay Creative and its QMax Communications subsidiary a fresh S$2.3 million, on top of previous awards. The court also awarded costs to Creative and QMax. Delivering the judgment, Justice Tay Yong Kwang said in oral grounds that the sum comprised Creative' s claims for spectrum rights, rooftop leases and leasing services from network operator Singtel. Creative now expects to recognise income from the legal proceedings to the tune of US$32 million, for the three months to June 30, it said in an announcement on the Singapore Exchange website. It had said the previous year that the original judgment sums would be recognised in financial statements for the quarter to Sept 30, 2017, if the original judgment was not appealed against. Creative and QMax took Huawei to court in 2012 over a contract, signed in 2010, for a wireless broadband project. Huawei, the project vendor, was tasked with designing, building and operating a nationwide wireless broadband network. But Creative and QMax eventually contended that Huawei had miscalculated and misrepresented the cost of the network. The suit sought to recover from Huawei the roughly S$30 million that had been put into the project, which ended up being scuppered. Meanwhile, Huawei counter-sued for outstanding payments, alleging wrongful rescission and/or termination of the contract. An appealable High Court judgment found in Creative' s favour in 2017. The company was then awarded about S$36 million, including interest. Creative was represented by Senior Counsel Jimmy Yim, as well as Andrew Lee and Ben Chia, of Drew & Napier, while Huawei was represented by Senior Counsel Andre Maniam, alongside Alma Yong, Ho Weijie and Lin Chunlong, of WongPartnership. Huawei told The Business Times, when contacted: " We respect the judgment of the court and are firmly committed to serving our customers in Singapore." Creative closed up by S$0.20, or 3.44 per cent, at S$6.01. The company had called a trading halt lasting around two hours, pending the release of its announcement. https://www.businesstimes.com.sg/companies-markets/creative-huawei-lawsuit-appeals-court-grants-creative-s23m-in-extra-damages   |

Creative: To Recognise S$43 Million Income From Legal Proceedings, Huawei' s Appeal Dismissed.25 May 2018 15:22
The Singapore Court of Appeal dismissed Huawei International Pte Ltd' s Appeal and granted Creative Technology Ltd and QMax' s Appeal with regard of certain sums. In doing so, the CA ordered that Huawei pay the Company and QMax an additional sum of approximately S$2.3m, in addition to the amounts previously awarded by the High Court of US$9.3 million and S$15.6 million with interest. The CA also awarded costs to the Company and QMax. The CA' s judgment is final and non-appealable. Following the CA' s judgment, Creative expects to recognise an income arising from the above-mentioned legal proceedings of approximately US$32 million (S$43 million) in the quarter ending 30 June 2018... |
