The irony is Grab though based in Singapore is not able to public list in Singapore yet due to not meeting SGX' s listing requirements despite a few companies pumping in at least 1 billion Singapore dollars each.

Taxis have lost 90% of their clientele to PHV in the heartland. They have stopped plying around in the housing estates but only queue at MRT stations' taxi stands.

And, as I said before, when you see 100 riders waiting at the taxi stand but not a single taxi came, it means that many taxi drivers have thrown their keys back to zoom bee.

And as I said this morning, when the roads are jammed with private cars, it doesnt mean that taxi drivers are earning a bomb. It means the opposite.

In the past when you driove, you would see a taxi infront and behind and left and right of you. Whenever you passed an accident scene, you would see a taxi incolved in the accident. Now, you see PHVs in every accident, and they are on your left, right and center!

 Alert Admin 		SINGAPORE - SBS Transit chairman Lim Jit Poh will be stepping down from the position he has held since 2003, making way for a younger and yet-to-be-named successor.

The 81-year-old former civil servant and transport stalwart became chairman of taxi operator Comfort Group in 1999.

When Comfort merged with Delgro Corp (previously Singapore Bus Services) in March 2003, Mr Lim became chairman of the merged entity ComfortDelGro and its local transportation arm, SBS Transit. He has been chairman of ComfortDelGro vehicle testing subsidiary Vicom since 1985.

The Straits Times understands that Mr Lim will remain chairman of ComfortDelGro and Vicom, but will retire from those positions in the next couple of years. Sources said he had planned to retire two years ago, but decided to stay on after the Covid-19 pandemic hit.

When contacted, SBS Transit spokesman Tammy Tan confirmed that Mr Lim will not be standing for re-election in the upcoming annual general meeting on April 29. She declined to comment further.

During his tenure at SBS Transit, Mr Lim witnessed the transformation of the company from a bus operator to a dual-modal company when it clinched the operatorship of the North-East MRT line in 2003.

In 2011, the company won the rights to run the Downtown MRT line - the first line to operate on the new rail financing framework.

Mr Lim also saw the reform of the bus industry when government bus contracting kicked off in 2016.

Known to be someone with strong views, Mr Lim had suggested that the government paved the way for a mega-merger of the two major transport operators here to achieve lower cost, higher efficiency and better service.

And if that was not feasible, he said there should be only two companies - one running all buses and the other, all trains. This view was also shared by late senior civil servant Ngiam Tong Dow, and former Public Transport Council chairman Gerard Ee.

One of the oldest and longest-serving corporate chairmen here, Mr Lim has served as director in several companies. These include Lum Chang Holdings, Lum Chang Securities, The Ascott Group, Inchem Holdings, Singapore Bus Services and DelGro Corp.

Before joining the private sector, he was a civil servant. He headed the Vocational and Industrial Training Board (predecessor of the Institute of Technical Education), and was executive director of the National Productivity Board.

A Fulbright scholar, he holds a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Physics from the University of Singapore and a Master of Education from the University of Oregon in the United States.

Uncle, dont act like a Bao Bao.

Remember I ever said why Zoom Bee's price was so resilient? Because BBs hold the peice up to sell to uncles like you.

And remember I said if uncles like you are willing to chase, BBs will pump up for you to chase until you drop, and they sell.

After that, price will drop. And it did.

The above had happened right infront of our eyes. BBs pumped up from 1.64 to 1.70 and faked 3 times near-break out at 1.70. Many uncles thought it is going to break out the next day and chased at 1.70. And yesterday, game over. After BBs have unloaded at 1.70, they let go their hands.

Hence it is going to be very difficult for zoom bee to cross 1.70. BBs are not stupid. They dont sell you at 1.70 and buy back from you higher.

And because there are so many uncles like you, who keep buying from the BBs, zoom bee will drop only very slowly, but surely.
