But now, they have to run back and forth taxi stands, doing return trips to earn one fare. One uncles said taxi drivers love $5 fares. If this is the way they have to earn their $5 fares, can they live past 75 if they continue driving? Hence I maintain my view that unless something drastic happens, taxis will die a slow death over the next 10 years.
