With all the business failures, who are the locals who can gamble? Most of SMEs towkays in trouble. U got read how many biz folded during this 3 mths? They got money to lose to genting? Genting not targeting those who bet $500 or $2000. It makes money from gamblers who bet big and lose big. Even if reopen for biz, i doubt earnings will be good.
Those local aunty or uncle who go in and lose the $600 receive from ah gong will not save genting. Genting survival depends on china tourists who bet big. When are they coming?

The market took a beating after report of resurrgence of second wave in some of the countries like the US. This is nothing to be alarm given how the westerns behave during a pandemic. They went out millions to the streets to protest despite that they are aware of the virus. They don' t care. Rights are far more important than lives. For Singapore, the government cannot afford a second lockdown. If yes, Singapore will finish. Genting has already undertaken costs cutiing measures, etc. In addition, government payout on salaries. This will help to keep GS afloat for a while. If the pandemic is going to last for 2 year, then it is a different story. |

My view on Genting Sing. Price broke and closed below ascending trendline support (now resistance) with price below moving average, I expect a further drop for this counter.  I have also put the DLC for Gentinng Sing levels in line with the underlying for people who want to take advantage of this move Cheers!

Well i hope genting is burning money on maintaining USS rides. No good if accidents later and huge liability
I read that JP Morgan in a May 14 report loosely estimates Genting Singapore?s cash-burn at about S$1.5mil-S$1.6mil a day. |
