I am vested in banks, and a small amount of Keppel, all bought last year and a small amount of SIA recently. These are the counters I dont have to monitor, but as I said before, if you are not already vested, wait for the next crisis. Zoom Bee's price went up not because it suddenly became a rising star but because the whole world and the STI and every other thing has gone up. It is still surviving on gov's life lines sucking tax-payers' money. And unless something drastic happens, taxi will be gone in 8 to 10 years. Over the last 8 years during which it lost 10,000 taxis, nothing was done to salvage it. I guarantee you that the so-called Zig is of no help. But there is no need to wory for the taxi drivers. Lesser taxis means less competirion for those still driving and slogging on the road everyday, day and night, non-stop. And dont forget they can jump to PHV anytime with their taxi licence. One of them I asked recently even told me he will be very happy if he is the only taxi driver in Singapore. But most have a plan to stop driving and retire in X years. Dont believe? In the past, taxi drivers have no choice but to rent taxis from zoom bee to work 12 hours a day everyday without weekends, holidays, annual leave, medical leave, CPF, bonuses, and without nothing. Only the current lots of old birds know how to earn peanuts by driving. Any new guy will cry until no tear if they zign contracts yo try. How long more can the current lots of Merdeka uncles do this lousy job driving no day no night? And in Singapore, Grab is. Not enough taxis means loss of critical mass, resulting in the riders turning to PHVs. If that 25% of office execurives were to stand at the curbside to flag for taxis, they they would get their taxis 2 hours later. If they wait at home to book, it will be faster at 1 hour later. But with so many PHVs standing-by at every carpark, they get their Grab cars GoJek cars, Tada cars or Ryde cars in 3 minutes. If you are the executive rushing to your office in the morning, what would you do? Go take a bus maybe and get ready to be late for your boss' meeting. In all other countries, the situation is worse than singapore. Can you tell me where they are not being killed by PHVs? If no taxis, you should punt SBS or Vicom and not this taxi brand. Dont say is will go up to $3.
