x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	CGS-CIMB has downgraded UMS from ADD to HOLD with target price lowered to $0.75 from $1.21 The downcycle begins ?¡ Even though we were bracing for a softer 2H18, 3Q18&rsquo s net profit turned out to be a disappointment at just 16% of our previous full-year forecast. ?¡ Interim DPS was cut to 0.50 Scts versus the usual 1.0 Scts. Cash balance fell to S$20.0m (slight net cash position) at end-Aug 18. ?¡ We cut our recommendation from Add to Hold as we monitor the progress in growing earnings given the strategic decision to tilt towards expansion.

x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	Thx v much for ur useful note.  nqing87      ( Date: 13-Nov-2018 19:21) Posted: 40% drop in profit.. i dont think thats smth market had priced in.. eps this quarter is 1.4cents.. if they perform like this 4 next 4 quarters, then eps for whole year is 5.6 cents.. assuming a p/e of 10 as per most peers, that will br 56 cents.. definitely not smth that had been priced in.. ums better get their socks up and improve their bottomline for the next few quarters.. they recently spend some cash to acquire jep.. so they are no longer cash rich and can give good dividend like it used to be..
